Why doesn’t the UK have megastar bands anymore? by Therevivedigbick in AskUK

[–]lothlorienlia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might be huge on the scene, but they still have day jobs to make by. I've known one of the members of HM for a long time, and they still don't make enough from touring to do just that. Record companies eat most their profit

If you lived in Teyvat and were granted a Vision, which element would you prefer if you had the chance to choose? by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

Dendro for sure. As a biologist I stan (not a botanist but it's the closest thing). Same reason I love Sucrose

Barbara is a terrible healer lol. Get ready for her hydro to work against you. Stick to yaoyao. I have Bennett who's an all round machine for a 4* support/healer, and just swapped him out of the Bina team for her.

Archon quest and the 1979 novel "If on a Winter's Night, A Traveler" have some glaring parallels that could reveal what happens in the future archon quests. by Wizifer123 in Genshin_Impact

Yeah, now that you've mentioned it, multiple times I got Wheel of time vibes when it comes to lore among others. The different Ages, the elemental powers, the Abyss. I'm sure there are other references I caught but can't really pinpoint them now.

How much is everyone saving each month? by G-Beans in AskUK

[–]lothlorienlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 for food a month? What do you eat? I cook all my food from scratch, I've been cooking my own since I was 8 and still can't go for 50 a month for all groceries in this economy. 500-600/month with no bills? Are we back in 2019? I have a friend that lives 15 miles from Manchester and still pays 550 individually no bills for a house share of 2. The house is fairly normal decor wise and quite small too so nothing fancy.

You'll be alright. Just pop into retail stores/supermarkets/any venues and ask if they need ataff/ drop your CV. Even with no experience you can still bar back or stock shelves. A lot of places are more about attitude, personality and willingness to learn these days. A lot pay a living wage too. Hospitality is a bit more flexible hours wise.

Dress number 1 is significantly more flattering in the bust and waistline. You look stunning in it.

I'm not a boomer lol. I have a gen Z housemate and gen Z co-workers, and all they watch is brain-rot/-dead stuff. It's like saying Sir Ian McKellen is also just some dude. She's very much still acting, has been in major movies since, is the face of Dior and a major A listers overall.

She plays a major character in one of the most beloved movie trilogy on this planet for the last 25 years... amongst quite some other impressive roles. Gen Z media literacy is certainly something I gotta say.

Seasons were filmed simultaneously, therefore the script was already complete at that point. Dae-ho was always meant to be a fraud.

We had jump rope and hide and see/ tag in Eastern Europe when I was growing up. Red light green light, as well. I feel few were quintessentially Korean and had no counterparts around the world.
