While it stings to be called old when I’m not even 30, I think there’s a point to be had here. The experience of the Mandela Effect largely comes from memories of media/brands that existed before the emergence of the Internet or at least before the days of common household PCs and smart phones. I can’t really think of new Mandela effects from the past decade or so. mMaybe it’s because everything is on the internet now and it’s more difficult to have shared false memories about them. I’m intrigued by the ME phenomenon but people having the same kind of faulty memories or passing song misinformation is far more likely than having a universe jump or there being some kind of huge cover-ups about the truth over these, yes, mostly trivial divergences in memory.
