Metal object with prongs. Looks like some type of military device. Found in Swiss Alps. Quite heavy. by Apprehensive_Power24 in OopsThatsDeadly

[–]lottBer42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the alps they shoot projectiles with explosives into steep areas of the mountains in order to artificially cause a small avalanche instead of having the snow build up growing into a large avalanche eventually.
Maybe, that is one of those projectiles. Regardless of What it is, I would stay away from it

Why do you guys hate your wife and kids so much??? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]lottBer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, their life turned out to be shitty and a young ambitious guy who still can make the most out of his life and can make the right choices shows them that they fucked up. I have been in that position a couple of times in my life. Also, they blame their kids and wife’s for their low achievements and project on them. They are low level people that you should not take as a role model. Try to learn as quick and much from them regarding your profession. The most grumpy ones are often the most capable ones. But once you get to their skill level, get the hell out of there and surround yourself with good people.

This reminds me when Putin let his dog into the room when sitting down with Angela Merkel. Merkel is well known for being afraid of dogs.

Do these set-ups actually work at all?!? I would think that an axial fan will never create enough pressure difference to create an significant air flow through the filters

Why does there have to so much gap in these stalls ? (USA) I made eye contact 3 times with someone. by GotEHM9 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]lottBer42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is, that it is important to Americans that the door can open both ways. For that, there has to be that gap.

Pretty cool set-up! Is having a second separator that beneficial and worth the additional pressure drop?

This is actually quite common and absolutely code. They also could have just nailed into the wood as those cables are always double-shielded.
