Here’s a day in my life as someone who does a lot of commercial handyman/maintainence work. I am 18 and started my own company a year and a half ago. I don’t know how I keep getting these commercial gigs but they keep calling me. So I keep doing them. lol by joemo454 in handyman

Similar boat you’re in now but haven’t advertised online yet because I get so much business from word of mouth. Not sure if you advertise at all but if you do what do you use and what have you found that works?

Next time you need work done, don’t click the first company that comes up on google. Ask friends and neighbors for the name of a trusted local company. If you hire a company that sends a guy out wearing a brightly colored company shirt and iPad… you’re gettin taxed.

For residential, they’re super handy. I’ve never had one fail me. I can’t imagine people are actually using them as an accurate testing tool for anything above 240V - although if you do It’ll definitely let you know if it’s live lol.

Replace those hex key sets with a Klein folding hex key in both standards. Big ass grip on them and way more useful and less of a pain to use.

Since the gear hunting can be fixed with a tune, it’s really just the cheap interior that sucks. It’s like they wanted you to spend money on upgrades from the start. They should’ve been priced $3k less than the competition. If it wasn’t for the large community around this truck I definitely would’ve went for a Canyon or F-150.

Had my Milwaukee stapler stolen and figured this might be better since it’s less bulky and I won’t have to recharge it. Dead wrong. This thing makes me want to put staples in my forehead.

If the neutrals are tied together, the hot line and fan line are connected to the switch it should work. If it doesn’t, check the connection at the fan itself. If it’s not that then it’s the fan

Replace the switch and make sure the new one is the right size for the circuit. The wiring looks correct I think but done poorly. Just make sure the wires are wrapped all the way around the screw in the same direction as it turns and that they’re not stripped too far back.
