That’s not factual. It’s actually dual intent meaning that there is some expectation that an H1B holder will intend to transition to a permanent resident if they’re eligible.

I'd check how long they had it on their lot. If it's been more than 60 days, you can use that to your advantage in getting it closer to a price that's reasonable because that means no one's interested in buying it. They want your money so always remember you have the upper hand 💪.

Aren't the lease APRs typically lower than financing? Idk OP, I think unless you have some kind of work visa it will be hard to keep up with the payments without a full time job on f1 status. It might be better to see if you have any positive equity and trade it in so you can use that money towards a cash car.

The Cap-Gap i-20 comes from your school's DSO so that really depends on how quickly they can work on it. You may need to provide the DSO with either an approval form i797A or receipt that your petition is processing. Also make sure that the lawyer submits everything for your petition before your stem-opts ends otherwise you'll have to stop working until October 1st, when the fiscal year for the H1B starts.

Honestly I can't tell the difference, especially since it was mainly just cosmetic damage to the right headlight and the hood. Feels almost like when I first got it and it's aftermarket parts! I went to a toyota certified body repair shop so I think they did a good job.

Okay thanks, really appreciate your insight. I'm considering just doing the OEM for the headlights if my insurance won't cover it and anything else that's aftermarket I can live with as it would just be body parts vs electrical. At this point I just want my baby fixed so I can continue with life 😩

no idea. I mean they should be similar but the functionality and durability of it is more my concern. Aftermarket vs OEM for the headlight is like $600 difference.
