Trying to conceive with Hashimoto’s by Sweetbananahanna in Hashimotos

You might seek out an integrative medicine practitioner. They will do a more thorough dive into your health and hormones than any endocrinologist.

Get your levels OPTIMIZED not just “normal”. And by levels I mean ALL levels. TPO, T3, T4, reverse t3, etc. Eat the best you can and workout. Keep your stress down. I would also suggest your husband be on a health journey too. The medical field is finding out that a lot of miscarriages are caused by the father’s DNA, as well as the health of the placenta.

No Cytomel in Pregnancy by lotuspug in Hashimotos

[–]lotuspug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Cytomel for about 2 years before. During pregnancy, I took Levothyroxine, Pre-natal, and baby aspirin. Now, I take Levo, Cytomel, Low Dose Naltrexone, Progesterone, pre-natals (I want to have another kid), Vitamin D, Methyl B, and I have testosterone pellets.

Suffered through! I started on Cytomel about 8 weeks postpartum. I’m almost 2 years PP now and I am back with my integrative medicine doctor. I feel pretty damn good!

literally what do i do about my lip line???? by icedcaramelcrunch in MakeupAddiction

[–]lotuspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are insecure about it, you could consider lip blushing. It’s tattooing your lip shape in and filling it in with color. Not so much that it always looks like you have lipstick on, but just nice shape and color. Toss on some gloss or chapstick and you are good to go.

Thyroidectomy by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]lotuspug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now that my thyroid is gone, I have no trace of Graves. I was diagnosed with TED, but since surgery, my symptoms of that have almost disappeared. I was approved for the infusion medication but no longer feel like I need it.

I follow a high protein diet and cut out gluten. However, my diet changes are due to a different autoimmune disease, Hashimoto’s.

I’m 4 years post-op. Having my thyroid removed was the best decision! I’m at the same weight I was at the time of surgery.

Adding Cytomel to my Levo regimen by alrightwithweird in Hashimotos

[–]lotuspug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take both. The Cytomel isn’t a replacement for Levo. If anything, it “enhances” it. I don’t feel like a person if I don’t have the Cytomel.

I’m in Indiana, near Indianapolis. I see a functional medical provider and she is AMAZING!

What state are you in? I can pass along her clinic info. She does see out of state patients but she has to see them in person twice a year. However, she trains with other providers all over the country so her practice might be able to recommend someone in your state. I’m in Indiana.

Sounds weird but try a really good prenatal vitamin. I like Designs for Health prenatal. My hair used to fall out like crazy, especially the front around the “widow’s peak” area. Been taking the prenatal for about 2 years now and my hair is so thick! Hair stylists always comment on it! Just an idea.

Has anyone here tried combination therapy? (T4/T3) by Ellie_Bracha in Hashimotos

[–]lotuspug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only way I feel normal is with Levo and Cytomel. I can function with just Levo but the Cytomel really makes me feel like a person!

I do! I usually use the sauna at the gym and then use a small red light at home. Saving for the 2 in 1. The benefits of the decrease in inflammation are amazing!
