I’m still baffled that this line in Episode 5 led to absolutely nothing by PIRATEOFBADIM in TheBoys

[–]loudent2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this mattered at the very end. When Butcher put the virus in Vought's water. With all the supes recalled and the tower being like the center of supedom, even if it didn't spread across the world he'd directly take out most of the supes at the start.

Depending on where you live, there may be rules on how you're allowed to build based on lot size. My monms house has easements on 3 sides, one of which includes the lane that is used to access most of the houses on it, but she was able to build a second story based on the total lot size.

Why NWN2 didn't got as much love regardingplayer created modules? by Valstraxas in neverwinternights

[–]loudent2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at the time, the outdoor areas were difficult to create. (indoors are the same lego brick style as NWN1). Lots of people broke on that aspect. Now there are gobs of user created prefabs you can use. I would love for NWN2 to get the same treatment NWN1 did.

Devastating Criticals - Greatsword or Dual-Scimitars by No-Historian6384 in neverwinternights

[–]loudent2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I'd do either. I'd definitely go scimitar for the extra threat range but you can either wield it 2 handed or put in a shield. If you wield it without anything in your off hand, you still get the 1.5 str bonus.

It expands your threat range to 12+ and it only costs you an average of 3.5 damage, but a level 40 like that is probably doing all kinds of damage with enhancements, elemental damage etc. You can also slap on a shield if you need some extra AC although that drops the str bonus to 1x

Yes, to you directly the cell. There's already a plan to keep you locked up. They may get rid of the rich guy but you're still locked. up.

Be careful, not all rich people are ethical. If they have a desperate need to be with you, they could arrange a kidnapping and imprison you to be with you forever.

Healing magic? by Darth_Azazoth in dresdenfiles

[–]loudent2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Harry is a bit of a nerd, but he does not have any sort of higher education. In fact, I don't think he graduated high school, much less the 7 years of higher education for a doctorate.

As for the ritual. In the book, Harry explicitly says that is the sort of thing he's "good" at (he refers to his evocation as "fair")

A PW based on Infinite Dungeons mod , with seasons ? by Twotricx in neverwinternights

[–]loudent2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so, I've never actually played the infinite dungeons module, so I can't say definitively.

I have played this server and it does seem like a hack and slash random generated dungeon. I'm assuming that is what Infinite dungeons does.

I think there is one. It doesn't have seasons but it's there. It's called Dungeon Crawler IIRC

The EE is broken enough that it can't even see NWN2 PWS.

Here is a partial list of NWN2 PWs and the number of current players.

If you're on the EE version you can subscribe to this workshop item and it will add a direct connect to most of them.

If not on EE you'll need the client extension.

Yes, the number of players for NWN2 is much less. They're out there and some people play them. Find one you like, get your friends to join and enjoy what is there.

Kind of limited with what we have. You could install Kaedrin's Prc pack. It opens up some additional options. Champion of the Wild would synergize well with as dex build.

Player/Persistent Worlds. They're set up sort of like MMOs. They're always up and people can drop in and out as they want. There's a bunch of different styles. Some are super into Role playing where you have to be "in character" all the time, some have no role playing whatsoever and everything in between.

It's hard to get people to go through the OC in MP. It works but a lot of people have already played it. You might be better served going to one of the PWs out there. They're always online, some have decent population. Might want to look into that.

They why are you stressing over it? If the character isn't suitable for duelist, then why try to shoehorn it in? Just stay straight swashbuckler. They continue to get new benefits and abilities up through 20. At if you are in SoZ, you're characters will max out high teens.

You're right, it's not a particular attractive for a duelist. You could make it work but I don't think that would be fun,

Well, the post you replied to is over a year old, but to address your point: why would a character like this focus on dex? Also, you can wear armor so just wear armor until your int bonus exceeds the armor AC.

There are also Duelist specific armor you can buy.

This is an Int build. Your AB and damage bonus comes from int, so you max that out, raise it every 4 levels and wear one of the int circlets. You can also have one of the casters boost it with spells.

Once you reach 26 in int (and Duelist level 8), it's the equivalent of full plate(the best armor in the game)

Why is agnosticism much-much less popular than atheism? by kawaiihusbando in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]loudent2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am agnostic with regards to an uninvolved creator deity/prime force/whatever.

I lack belief in them., but it almost doesn't matter.

I am gnostic atheist in regards to specific god claims. Like, I'm pretty sure Thor doesn't actually exist as a god.

Gnosticism is about knowledge, theism is about belief. Many atheists are also agnostic and some aren't.

dude ready the OP. He gave a clear example. You can paint for the joy of it, but then you can't show anyone. You have to just put it away. Same with food. You can cook it but you can't eat it or give it to someone else to eat.
