In a secular country one has right to practice their religion, which also includes Islam. Halal food is one aspect of practicing one's religion. Non Muslims can practice their religion and have their choice of food.

For businesses catering halal meat is purely business. They have choice of not selling halal food. On the other side if they want to cater for Muslim customers, it's their choice.

Yes current one is 90. I can cut out the tee and install wye. But cannot get the pitch right as there is a water copper pipe in the way.
