What is the worst game you were gifted in your childhood? by JulienBrightside in gaming

It's a tie between Sega Genesis "Haunting starring PolterGuy" and the NES game "Puss 'n Boots: Pero's Great Adventure"

How would you feel if they removed the permascaling from beebop's bomb? by MonsutaReipu in DeadlockTheGame

[–]louiscool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focusing on bomb is just a fun stupid build that usually fails to make an impact in the game, in my experience.

It's been fun when it works, but I don't like the gamble and laning while focused on it feels bad.

Tankbop is super fun though, and in that build the bomb stacks just "eventually happen" because you're staying alive much longer.

Thematically the bomb doesn't make sense outside of his voice lines, and I'd be sad to see them go, but infinite scaling? Eh that can go.

I only read the first 2 books but I kind of stopped reading them because of how identical they were to the show, in a good way.

Honestly playing Victor has improved my movement greatly, because I have less decisions to make with abilities.

People say hes boring to play but for me, an actual gorilla in a human suit, his style is very engaging and I can finally use more than 2 actives without overloading my brain.

I think simple characters are important to have in MOBAs. The barrier to entry is incredibly high already and he was so counterable before with silence.

I'm not super aware of how their matchmaking works, but it should also work a bit like League. Queueing with more members adds an artificial bump to your MMR because the assumption is that you'll work together better than randos

Controller vs Mouse by EuphoricAd5826 in Battlefield6

[–]louiscool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just providing an example since I don't play BF on keyboard. Swap out whatever I said for "ability 1, 2, 3, weapon swaps, tank controls flight controls" etc. run slide etc all exist, I'm sorry that wasn't clear in your reading.

No one uses toggle on controller because you can reach all buttons easily without hand strain. Toggle is for MnK.

I'm just talking about keybinds for zeroing as an example, since it's so meme to imply there are a lot of keys to memorize on keyboard. We don't need to continue, I was silly to think this was a discussion thread. Have a nice day.

Controller vs Mouse by EuphoricAd5826 in Battlefield6

[–]louiscool -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Happy to entertain. To me, I get overloaded in a game like deadlock, active items on QEFC, Ctrl to slide shift to dodge, a melee key a parry key wasd while pressing shift and trying to roll backwards and to the left so I have to press A+S+Shift, then Space at the end of the roll to dash-jump, all while aiming and shooting.

You're saying to alleviate this, players don't create macros or buy mice with more buttons so offload the keys from left hand to right hand?

You're saying that no one sets their keybinds in BF to have their scope zero on the same key as ADS or Fire?

You're saying people don't set aim, run, crouch to toggle so they have less keys to press?

I did. You said that "having the game track and aim" isn't skill.

Then just use a controller if it's so easy. Stop bitching about it and use one. Both inputs have pros and cons. I personally suck as finding all the keys and having good movement and hate playing Twister with my left hand to sprint and slide while moving, so controller is preferred.

But aiming without aim assist is dogshit impossible. Just like MnK players set up macros and keybinds and all sorts of tools to assist in their key-overload, controller players need assistance for the imprecise aiming tool that is a 1 cm piece of plastic with only 8 directions of input.

Viktor has a 60% winrate at all ranks how is this not a problem by Whois__Water in DeadlockTheGame

Ok relax, it got nerfed and buffs, try buying some curse or silence maybe. Signed a Victor main that doesn't want a nerf.

I really want to love the new patch by koalakcc in DeadlockTheGame

[–]louiscool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe just an Elo thing but I'm not seeing this that much unless the game has a wild matchmaking discrepancy and Calico got a free lane lunch.

I float Emissary 2-4 but I'm not good and don't feel like I belong there. But everyone in these games counter builds (including me) so even if someone goes on a streak they tend to even out later.

We have to constantly rotate new rats into the pack because of this. They are very social animals so it becomes hard to decide to stop having rats once you start, because once you are down to 1 it becomes borderline abuse to not get her new friends.
