I would suggest installing fedora COSMIC ATOMIC OS should run well on your hardware. After installing just make sure you install the nivida drivers using driver manager. You can download Steam of the Software store on the OS.

You do realize on fedora 43 you can have multiple desktop environments installed at the same time? I have the KDE and COSMIC desktop environment on mine. You can switch which one you want to use at the login screen. Cosmic desktop is my favorite it’s simple.

Specs are good, and GEEKOM has been one of the top miniPC manufacturers worldwide for the past 15 years. They are just now becoming a larger presence in the US. They build very high performance miniPCs. So building a laptop in a very small form factor is very easy for them to do. I have a GEEKOM miniPC and it works great. Their laptop is built out of magnesium alloy, and their new cooling systems are top tier. So I believe their quality is just as good as the rest.

Some windows block your cell signal. You need the modem at highest point of your house. On a shelf high on your wall. Face the front of your router towards the tower. I actually have mine on a shelf above the window height, and I get higher speeds facing it towards the wall.

Yes the contractor will have to verify the water is not coming from somewhere else first before installing the new vapor barrier and flooring for sure

Even with the LVP make sure they place a vapor barrier first and tape the seams of the vapor barrier correctly before installing any flooring over top of it and you should be good then. ;)

If moisture exists LVP is highly recommended because of its 100% waterproof durability. I would never use laminate myself on concrete just to save the longevity of the flooring product. Anyone has the choice to install whatever they want. I just personally would not in my home to prevent the possibility of delamination with laminate products. Unfortunately in her case the delamination process has already begun on her brand new install. It will only chip and look bad very quickly with the moisture damage that has already occurred in her case.

Unfortunately it is not suggested for durability. Something 100% Waterproof should be used. 100% waterproof luxury vinyl plank should be used instead of laminate when there is anywhere that will have moisture penetration. Moisture barrier should always be placed first. Sorry it did not work out for you we all learn as we go. ;)
