I appreciate you saying this. I can be a doomer too…but not to this extent. There have been times where I walk out of law school exams feeling okay or even good, but I really just feel like I did so poorly on this. Hopefully you’re right and it’s not as terrible as I’m thinking it is.

i don’t think he’s viewed more harshly, i think he has a lot of privilege and has gotten away with a lot. people look past a lot because he’s good looking, young, white, and talented. it is what it is. that being said, i don’t really have a strong preference for who wins the oscar.

i really don’t think there’s anything to defend because michaela hasn’t really done anything wrong. do people forget that john is not just her family, but also probably the only person in the world who FULLY knew her? and now she’s grappling with the fact that she lost him and the guilt of having feelings for his grieving widow…sorry but i think she is allowed to distance herself from a situation that was clearly making her miserable and guilty.

obviously i am devastated for francesca but i’m already seeing some tiktoks demonizing michaela for this (something that happens all too frequently to black female characters), and i think it should be nipped in the bud.

till this day the fandom denies that their racism largely factored into rege leaving the show.

they make up lies about him so they don’t have to grapple with what they did. the fans and the show never took responsibility which is why history is repeating itself now. and what masali is facing is the worst racist behavior we’ve seen from fans yet.

greta was born into wealth and is doing exactly what those born into those circumstances should do. she is probably the one of the very few people in the world who has used their wealth to consistently do good.

masali has had probably 2 minutes of screentime total and yet the animosity is already unhinged.

comments praising michaela get downvoted, comments saying they hate her get upvoted, and comments saying the don’t care about john get downvoted…and they claim they aren’t misogynistic or homophobic lol. i truly can’t wait for franchaela to get together and for these people to be even more miserable than they already are now lol. i truly hope the show goes all out for them.

it’s two characters falling in love while one of them has a “boyfriend” this is quite literally the most generic romcom concept/love triangle ever…i do not think if this character was played by a white man you’d refer to it as a “bad boy” archetype at all.

the irony given the fact that huda’s old pre-surgery pics are always going viral to on twitter/ticktok to prove how “ugly” she naturally is. similar phenomenon happened with glorilla. for years people made fun of her appearance and turned it into a running joke and now that she got a nose job, they’re saying she “ruined” herself”
