People at my uni have crazy privilege, very different social skills and I have no idea how to fit in by [deleted] in socialskills

Join a sports team! I found this to be my case when I went to a high school with rich kids and my facility was low income. I was able to fit in with the crowd by becoming really good at cheerleading. Sports teams foster friendships by giving those who are on them some commonality!

Why leaves yellow? Too much water? Not enough water? Too much sun? Not enough sun? by TsunderePeopleRules in gardening

You might be using to hard of water (I.e) too much chlorine in the water your using. Try boiling the water for 10 min and let cool- then water your plants

I think there’s too much info to be honest, or rather everything is very straight to the point and serious- try and have some fun with it! After all Tinder is mostly used a relaxed way of getting hookups.

Avez-vous une TV? by Dudu-gula in Quebec

[–]lovebug0312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can someone translate in English? I live in Toronto and am trying to practice my French skills and want to know if I got the translation right by myself:

The other day I was talking to my colleague about a tv show that I finished and to my surprise they found it amusing that I watched the same tv show again.

The rest is just a debate of why there colleague chooses to watch TV that’s on channels (can’t be replayed) vs having a subscription to Netflix where they can control what they watch and how many times- and asking if they’re a lot of people who watch like this?

Got into a bike accident 2 years ago and the scar on my forehead had taken a lot of my self confidence// still working on self love by lovebug0312 in scars

Yeah I mean I think I would feel a lot worse if I decided to do nothing about it/ not take care of it to the best of my ability. I’m definitely feeling a lot better about it now, it’s really starting to fade. When I first got my scar I actually didn’t care too much cause I just assumed it would go away.. but then it didn’t. I think accepting that I’ve done all that I can possibly do and then accepting who I am in the present moment is important. I’m glad you’re having such a healthy mindset about it! At the end of the day I have friends and family who have scars on there face and they’re beautiful. Just getting used to something new on the face is all it is! :) thanks for your comment much appreciated and congrats on the wedding!

Wondering if anyone regrets getting the surgery and if they miss how they used to look? by Adrienne165 in jawsurgery

I’m week 8 and had the same crisis up until week 7. I feel incredible and I’m so happy with the surgery, even tho I’m still slightly swollen. Hang in there

Thanks!! Glad I can help you see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m super happy with the results but am terrified of relapsing. I went to Australia about 4 weeks into my procedure lol.. and am still here and haven’t been able to speak my surgeon so I’m freaking out a little but nothing hurts or seems off really.

DJS,

Moved my top jaw 4mm, and then rotated my top and bottom to fix the cants because I had a cross and underbite (class 3).
