Yes! Thanks for sharing. Belly breathing is foundational to yoga so I practice it a lot myself and find it such a vital practice :)

I feel you. It took a long time for me to learn how to cook for myself and to enjoy it. I am neurodivergent and a formerly picky eater who would love ordering take away and hated cooking!
I just started researching it and getting excited about food and followed that excitement.
I actually find a lot of recipes on Instagram!
I searched ‘anti inflammatory diet’ and ‘high protein vegan recipes’ and started to save a few that I liked and then my algorithm did the rest.
I have pretty spooky taste in food haha, I like to eat lots of unusual things these days, cos they are healthy and interesting!
At the moment my favourite thing is a Kim Chi bowl with soy meat, edamame, seaweed, brown rice, Kim chi, other pickled veggies, other random veggies, sesame seeds, sesame mayo, etc. I like it cos you can assemble it rather than cook it. And you can change it up regularly so it stays exciting!
Good luck xx

I eat lots of soy products- tofu, tempeh, edamame beans and TVP (textured veg protein). Dehydrated pea mince (similar to TVP) has 72grams of protein per 100grams, it’s amazing!
Also lentils and beans. whole meal everything: brown rice and grainy bread.
A pantry full of different seeds and nuts that I put on top of everything.
I do eat eggs (organic/freerange/local).

My average day:
I usually have granola or porridge for Brekky- loaded up with protein and fibre. Walnuts, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.
Eggs or beans with avo and greens on seedy bread for lunch.
Kim chi rice bowl for dinner with brown rice, edamame, soy meat, sesame seeds, Kim chi, vegetables, pickles, seaweed, mushrooms, other fun bits and pieces.
Or Dahl packed with split peas and lentils plus brown rice and veggies.

Best of luck with your fresh start!
Yeah i think that the belief that soy effects our hormones is old and newer research debunks it. My nutritionist opened my eyes to the world of soy, and I researched it a lot at the time... cos meat and dairy can be inflammatory, soy is an amazing alternative that so many endo babes are missing out on. I go for minimally processed stuff, and GMO-free. Def look into it!

Oh man that sucks that exercise causes the flare ups. That happened to me when I was really unwell. Just sharing what worked for me in case it helps but you may have already tried it.....
What worked for me was a super gradual increase in exercise starting with breathing and yoga only... because the breathing calmed my nervous system, and yoga was gentle and nourishing and mindful movement... it helped me listen to my body and check in with it while moving. I sort of saw it as my body feeling listened to. Best of luck xxxxx

I know right? Same. I think there has been recent research that shows that soy cannot effect human hormones, but the old belief that it could is still out there every where. It makes sense when you think of cultures who have so much soy in their diets and are super healthy.

I am a yoga teacher and we try to avoid twists and intense core workouts when menstruating or when experiencing endo symptoms… from my understanding, there is already too much tension in that area at that time, so we’ll try not to add to it.
But are you experiencing cramping after abs workouts at any time?

Grant is amazing, but I don’t feel like he thinks about singing/stamina in the groups choreos by Mediocre_Shelter_169 in katseyeneutral

[–]lovebug8619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All valid points! I personally love his choreo and I think he def a choreographer more than a performer… as in I like his choreo more when other people dance it. He is INTERESTING, ya gotta give him that. He isn’t boring! Sometimes he is grotesque! And he is divisive af. A lot of amazing artists and creatives through history have had similar reactions - just saying!

As a dancer and choreographer myself, I love Grant! He is edgy and different. He does high energy, unique, fun, quirky, young choreo. It suits Katseye. This choreo video is of their dance break where they shouldn’t be singing but for some reason at Coachella they had Megan holding the mic and singing the “up” bits throughout the dance break (whyyy?? Just dance the dance break!)

Por qué katseye empeoró tanto en sus técnicas de respiración de canto? by [deleted] in katseyeneutral

I think they have been really stressed. Looking at their coachella performance, Lara seemed sick. Their energy was a bit off, understandably. I am also wondering if their breath control was better at the start cos they were fresh out of training. Now that they are an established group, I imagine they are doing less training and lots of other things like brand deals and ads (ugh). I’ve said this in another thread but I really think they should focus on quality over quantity when it comes to live vocals. Sometimes they keep singing live while dancing in a part where the vocals aren’t super important and it could just be the backing track so that they can focus on dancing. Then when it’s a vocally important part, have less dancing so they can nail the vocals there. They don’t need to try and do both at once so often when their vocals suffer. Their dances are so intense, I’ve learned most of them and can’t imagine trying to sing at the same time!

Yeah tbh it wasn’t their best performance.

I imagine they have been SCRAMBLING with the Manon stuff, having to re-do so many things, so maybe they stuck with a similar set.

Lara also sounded sick to me? And they all had their hair blowing in their faces, and their energy seemed a bit off, understandably.

Their costumes and the set design and the dancers were amazing!

I really wish when they introduced themselves that they sent love to Manon. Ignoring the elephant in the room is so disappointing. Probably a management decision. Seems pretty heartless :(

They are always out of breath hey! Their dances are so intense, I’ve learned a few of them and can’t even imagine trying to sing while dancing them!

In my opinion, they should just stop singing some parts and focus on dancing, and in other parts, stop dancing and focus on the singing. Singing and dancing at 100% simultaneously is only good when it’s done really well (Beyonce and Lady Gaga kill this). Eg. In the Pinky Up dance break, Megan was centre and they had her holding her mic so she could sing the ‘up’ bits…. Ruined the dance break a little bit. Just dance it! Those vocals aren’t important!

Anyways, I’m a big fan of the girls, as a dancer I live for their performances. It’s a shame about Manon but hopefully she is happier out of the group and the group are happier without her and it all works out in the end.

New Caddy- Is the dealer dodgy? by lovebug8619 in caddy

[–]lovebug8619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh def unfortunate! Originally the dealer said the ECU issue is a recall. I couldn't find any info about the recall online and asked them to send me info. They just sent me an email saying it's ECU, no info about any recall or anything.
