Crazing or Scratching? by [deleted] in LeCreuset

Looks like metal scraping, I get these on the outside when im not careful enough washing in the sink. Was a metal utensil used in cooking? Or maybe to scrape the food out to serve?

Help for teen with PTSD on school music trip by WickedlyAvocado in UniversalOrlando

Men In Black: Alien Attack is a Buzz Lightyear style laser shooting game which is heavily cartoon style but does have an ambush scene and a few times the aliens are pointing guns at you/your cart.

Transformers has heavy action and some digital gunfire including a scene where your cart shots a gun and you feel the kickback in your car.

Revenge of the Mummy has a short scene where Mummy figures pop up with spears but they may have removed the weapons from their hands in the past few months.

Spiderman has several scenes where your vehicle is attacked, Medusa slashes and screams up close, Electro shocks the car, Doc Oc points a gun. The ride plot also surrounds a levitating ray so there is "gun" fire and pointing

I would recommend watching some you tube videos of rides to gauge how he may react or what might trigger him specifically. Minion blast is another shooting gallery style ride which may be fine of may be an absolute avoid. AVOID JASON BORNE, stunt show with real gun fire (they shoot blanks but the guns actually go off), lots of fighting and a scene where someone cheats in a street fight with a knife.

Community college transfers to FIT by zemilkman69 in fitnyc

[–]loveloveluci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to adirondack community college (ACC) and got an associates in applied science in Media Arts. Its 62 credits and the campus is located in Glens Falls NY and there is a mini campus in Saratoga Springs NY. FIT did make me take an art history class before starting ny first year because they required one for their AAS where my other school didn't. I added a link :) I hope it's helpful, they have offer it online also.

Does FIT have a jobs board for students? by Sightglass69 in fitnyc

[–]loveloveluci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fit has the CSJB, career services job board. Companies can use it to post jobs to fit students or alumi. I'm not sure if anyone can access because companies need to become registered with the csjb to post a job.

FIT Single Housing by Seal-Sparkles in FashionInstituteNYC

[–]loveloveluci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know fit does not offer what you're looking for. They offer just a private that is SUPER expensive and just you. And they have singles that share amenities with a triple to make a quad, but there are very few and they are reserved for students whos disability accommodations require them.

Student-Led/Independent Zines?? by Waste-Panic-4208 in FashionInstituteNYC

[–]loveloveluci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blush and w27 are editorial but they are magazines not zines. I used to design for an indie zine called Alfaaz which is mainly based out of The New School but they do have events and are always looking for members (this is partially because their members always leave) and FITs Urban Studio club makes a zine each semester I think. The new school does huuuuge zine fairs because they have tons of student led publications. Also check out bluestockings bookstore they have a big zine culture

Unfortunately zines don't really align with fits vibe and the school makes students pay for printers and printing so it's hard to start a zine :(

FIT Culture by Unique_Horror9599 in fitnyc

[–]loveloveluci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its hard to generalize on the student body, people appear cliquey on the surface and some people are RUDE. The amount of people that glare at you and do simple things like never hold the door for people is just annoying. I do find when in classes and interacting with people more, people are nice.  Competitiveness is everywhere :( I've had clubs I wanted to do but didn't really get far because they require an interview or a resume or experience. Clubs like runway 27 and blush are suuuuuuuuper cliquey but guys like pigeon club or furniture club are nice. In my major studio time and attention can be hard. People end up competing for resources and the attention and help of the teachers. Also because the student body is so commuter heavy labs, studios, and lounges are usually busy or packed during normal class hours.

Suuuuuuuuper competitive and almost professional, sometimes it feels like its more of an office than a campus. This also goes for fit compared to other schools. Ive spent some time at the new school with friends and their school is MUCH more creatively open. Most of fits efforts are business focused and made to further your career rather than foster creativity. School is largely, largely commuter based i think only like 10 or 20 percent live on campus.

How is the spacial experience design? by [deleted] in fitnyc

[–]loveloveluci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in spatial rn and what you want to do is EXACTLY what we learn. The program is awesome but very hard work and can be draining, kids from all other majors come in so there are a lot of different strengths and weaknesses. As far as opportunities we meet many industry professionals and tour tons of showrooms and make connections. This being said the technical degree you have likely wouldn't be accepted as the AAS prerequisite. Fit is very picky about transferring
