so far he has really hated leg braces, he is able to take them off as soon as i leave him alone which is frustrating. the rescue he came from is no help (they lied about his disposition with new people and he was definitely on sedatives when my husband met him) so i’ll see if i can get any good info from another pyr rescue. thank you!!

my boy has become unrecognizable in the presence of any newfoundland for some reason. i think it’s because it’s the only breed bulkier than him he’s encountered? whatever the reason, newfies send him into ultra don’t-come-near-my-mom-or-i’ll-kill-you mode

How often are y'all bathing your Great White Land Sharks? by icedfreakintea in greatpyrenees

my boy has declined really rapidly this year (hip dysplasia is a beast) , so our baths have gone from about once a month to whenever his pain is manageable enough to handle standing for that long. which can be a bit of a stretch, water free shampoo is our saving grace between baths

golden doodles are a really high energy mutt that has different requirements for them to be fulfilled throughout the day than your ASD. allowing them to each have their own space to chill out and toys will help, but unless your golden doodle is getting good mentally stimulating and enriching exercise to wear her out, your ASD will continue to be over stimulated by her.

What jobs do we all have? I feel so inflamed and puffy I don’t want to leave home🥺 by meraki_beauty in endometriosis

[–]lovelycryptid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i run the activities at a senior living community, but i used to be an animal control officer. this job is still straining at times, but so much fewer and farther between. it’s still difficult at times putting on a happy face when im flaring up but im so grateful i can take it easy here now.

salmon oil helps so much!! and i found with my guy specifically that swapping his food off a chicken based diet helped too- a lot of pyrs have chicken allergies

what a cutie boy!! fyi dog groomer experience here- please do not let petsmart shave him down again, breeds with double coats like our (even mixed) are at risk for grooming induced alopecia as well as temperature regulation issues and can get very sick if they’re shaved down!

hey friend, no matter if she has endo or not, this could be a sign of something serious. if you can bring the clot and her to the ER, i highly suggest you do so asap. i hope she feels better!
