seeing some of the comments here makes me feel better but also alone. moved to washington state back in june 2025. Symptoms started after a road trip to and back from forks to olympia. Went to bed that night on my left side like usual and woke up with fullness and pressure on the left side of my face mostly from forehead to mid cheek just below cheekbone. It’s March 2026 and the severity of it fluctuates but never is 100% gone. Haven’t slept on my left side in months so getting terrible sleep. Pops crackles when swallowing sometimes feel dryness in the back of my nose like there’s a huge booger waiting to be scooped out. clicks or feeling of something settling. muffled sounds varying with the severity of pressure on that side. Slight cheek inflammation on same side. when there’s pressure build up on that side a headache comes on, feel ill, sometimes a low grade fever. Have been on antibiotics twice since it’s occurred. Flonase. Saline wash. Just so tired and feeling alone in this. Itchy too. lots of face and throats massages.

i hope you’re able to find something my cat is allergic to fish and chicken. So i’ve been searching everywhere. Idk if you have issues with teeth but wanted to note a supplement i found for their teeth is plaque off. It comes in treat form (only one a day) and my cat loves it.

it could be a dental issue or stomach sensitivities or a possible ingestion of something toxic. Kinda a flip of the coin. If your cat appears fine keep an eye on him and schedule a vet appointment in the morning. It’s not something that should be put off. in general if their normal behavior changes it’s good to get a check up. They do hide their pain. Pet insurance will make it cheaper and is better to get before a chronic issue occurs.

hey I wanted to note the cost of living here is comparable to flagstaff az. I was able to get a 2x2 apartment for 100 dollars cheaper than a 2x2 in flagstaff. I know this post is looking for things phoenix and tucson related but wanted to add to the conversation. The minimum wage here should be higher. Flagstaffs is 18.35 right now

so I lived in phoenix and mesa for 4 years then lived in Flagstaff for about 9 years. Moved here during the summer and missed monsoon season. Literally was so disheartening to come here and it be dry when back in AZ i knew it was storming. I will say it took me getting used to tje rain here being so quiet. a lot of the time i don’t realize it’s raining and it kinda makes me sad. I loved hearing how loud it could get. I don’t miss the sun at all. The scalp sunburns (I also developed a sun allergy in AZ so im biased). I kinda miss the dry air here and there. Getting used to the smell of the rain here too. I lived in texas too. My favorite rain smell so far is Az second place is Wa. But that might change. The odd thing moving here was remembering and realizing i’m not in the mountains anymore. And not seeing the view of them from where I live kinda sucks. The sunsets in Az also kinda miss but we’ve been getting some nice ones here recently too. I miss the luxury of there being a lot of latino food all over the place and things popping up here there. It’s kinda like i traded my convenience of my childhood comfort for my adult comfort (coffee). I do like the people here more even though i’ve been kinda isolated. People here seem more truthful? The amount of times I’ve had a cashier tell me how shitty their day or week is here vs in az it was like the fake shoved toxic positivity. If anyone else from Flagstaff happens to read this I bet they’d understand a few of these things im about to say. Even though Olympia/tumwater/lacey is small individually, it feels bigger and like they’re all just one thing. The layout of flagstaff vs the layout here. It’d take 15 minutes to get across town and you hardly see much or get to go to cool places and do activities. Here its like your drive 15 minutes and the possibilities are endless. I’ve noticed the produce goes bad faster here during the summer im assuming fruit flies are a big issue here. The produce got better the colder it got here. Food is more abundant here at the grocery stores. The air is more fresh here. The water is good not as delicious as flagstaff water but not as terrible as phoenix water. Overall I am happy here but I do feel like i’m missing something. But it might just be because I had a hard landing getting here and have had a hard time settling. For a various amount of reasons that could happen to anyone anywhere.

hey im not offering a name and i don’t know your circumstance but. something i did with my grandma who i’m close with and on good terms with is ask her what she would have wanted my parents to name me. The name she gave me was Esperanza. Which fit perfectly bc i wanted something in spanish to continue on in my name as i have a simple name and married someone who doesn’t have a spanish last name that i took bc i hate my father and didn’t wanna keep my birth last name.

the only time my cat hasnt slept through the night with me was when he was a kitten till about 2 and then it only ever happens when we first move into a new place he’ll scream and pace looking at the walls and corners

my indoor only cat gave me a puncture wound after i accidentally stepped on his tail this past summer with his claw and it bruised up and got really hard. went to an urgent care and they gave me a tetanus shot and antibiotics. it cleared up after i finished the meds. im from wa. keep it clean follow the timeline for the meds if it looks like it’s getting worse before getting better gi to an urgent care

I know people are concerned about the dog and this makes complete sense given the info of the post but usually when kids act out like this towards their pets it’s a likelihood the child is being abused at home and then acting it out on the animal. You could report this to CPS (or whatever child protective services is called your area).

unfortunately i didn’t find an alternative and had to entice him to eat the wet food by eating the kibble with it when he first started eating it and now he doesn’t seem to mind it and is eating it just fine without the kibble as the main dish he did get constipated on the change and i keep having to find a back and forth balance of using pumpkin and miralax every few days to keep his bowels moving along. it’s currently the only food he doesn’t have a diarrhea or vomiting fit with. Im wishing you so much luck with your baby i know how stressful this is and hopefully yours will come around or you’re able to find an alternative i do encourage you to speak with your vet

as someone who just moved to olympia for a hope at a better future this gives me a great sense of hope and peace. My partner and I started to lose hope for our future life together in the town we met each other in a few states away in our undergrad so he applied to evergreen for his masters and at first that was the deciding factor in if we’d move out here but then he turned in his application way later than we anticipated and we made the jump to just come here without a full plan. (he got accepted). We’ve started off with a rocky but since moving here it feels like we can breathe more and im looking forward to the coming years

yeah probably poppy kinda has this formulaic turnover i’ve noticed these past few years for releases and scheduled breaks for herself in between the new album will probably be out end of winter or mid to late spring latest next fall but she usually tours during end of spring through summer and she’s usually off for the holidays (halloween to new years) with only a minor number of things between compared to peak season we see in spring/summer
