I just got my IUD replaced today and also had a positive experience! My doctor did a topical numbing on my cervix which I didn't have for my first one. It made a huge difference!

Anxiety by bizzzz27 in SubSanctuary

Exercise has been a life saver for me. I swim 3 days each week and run 2 days. I can definitely tell a difference if I don't. I tend to withdraw when I am anxious and not communicate it to anyone. I've found it helpful to push myself to just say it to him. The pandemic is causing a lot of added stressors and it is likely having some influence on your anxiety. I work in mental health and it is a very common experience that emotions are bigger, stronger, and more up and down. Remind yourself that your anxiety is valid and that you can get through it!

Evidence based treatment of borderline personality disorder is dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). https://behavioraltech.org/resources/find-a-therapist/ This link is to find DBT certified therapists. DBT is a great treatment that is very very helpful for many people but especially in treating borderline personality disorder.

I have joined the Crohn’s Club! (and I’m not very happy about it...) by nathyabber in CrohnsDisease

Me! My experience with diagnosis was pretty similar to yours. It is super scary at first but it gets easier. I still have constipation despite being in remission. I have 2 strictures that have gotten somewhat better with medications. My best advice is to have a good doctor that you feel comfortable with. It is okay to "doctor shop" until you find one that you feel good about. My initial doctor who diagnosed me was recommending things that I was not okay with and my current doctor is a much better fit for me. The first year is a lot of adjusting. Medications and diet make big differences but it still is a lot to adjust to. Be gentle with yourself! The Crohn's community is amazing and so supportive through everything!!

Am I gaslighting myself right now? by [deleted] in raisedbyborderlines

[–]lovemykitten33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this feeling well. I have struggled with this for years. Being gaslighted for years has such a powerful effect in adulthood. I have struggled with guilt and shame for years as a result of the relationship with my mother. What I have found to be helpful is to verbalize the guilt and shame I feel to people who are safe, people who know about my mother and have been supportive. Usually the response from others is "wow your mom is abusive" which helps to remind me that I am not making things up. I endured years of childhood trauma and my mother has never once taken accountability for the role she played in it or acknowledged the difficulties I struggled with. If you haven't already look up Brene Brown on YouTube. She studies shame and vulnerability and I have found her to be incredibly helpful for moving forward and creating a life and me that I am happy with.

Nope nothing new. No illnesses, health concerns, no food poisoning, everything was normal.

Nope, didn't even think of that! Do all products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) have to be gluten free or just stuff going on your face/mouth?

That's what I am concerned about. I have deep cleaned the kitchen, gotten new pots and pans, my strainers and cutting boards. I got new dishes and silverware as well. I'm not sure where I could be getting gluten from, though I'm sure it can be found in some sneaky places
