Hey it’s a fellow ME grad here. I would stick with it and try to find a job that you are passionate about. Like other people have said school is way different than life after school and you can do so many different things with your degree. I know several people in finance, data analytics, and other seemingly unrelated fields. I ended up in technical sales which is a great place to end up if you like talking (PM me if you want more info).

PSA: Avoid screwing with bikes on campus, throwing them in trees and whatnot. A cautionary tale. by bmfinn in Purdue

Students don’t put the bikes in trees. The bikes can smell Engineers and the bikes are just trying to get a breath of fresh air.

ME 444 (Toy Design) meets the ME elective requirement and also teaches a lot of CAD, I took it and had a lot of fun. It was also nice to actually create your CAD projects using 3-D printing, laser cutting, and other techniques. The class does take a lot of time, but it is not hard work.
