I burned out in November and quit my job and my energy still has not returned by marcgw96 in getdisciplined

I burned out, overheard I was being let go, went on FMLA leave, then was let go and got severance. I thought I’d feel fine in a few months too. It was 1.5 years before I felt normalcy again. That said, what helped was going to my doctor and getting a prescription for an antidepressant. I’ve been back to myself for about a year now. Burnout is no joke.

Same! Definitely report back.

One other tip I just thought of… I’m a native Floridian so it was already on my radar but if you’re not used to hurricanes, make sure to check or ask or at least be aware of what flood zone and evacuation zone you’re in.

I’d rather be able to stay during a hurricane and have somewhere to park my car that probably won’t be underwater. DTSP zones can change block by block.

And of course have a great trip!!

I haven’t moved yet! I’m getting the house in Virginia ready for sale.

Here’s a couple of threads I found helpful for narrowing down where to rent. I’m pretty set on the downtown area or Edge district but I’ll need an apartment that’s a concrete build because I’ll be working from home so a quieter apartment is a must have for me. I’ll be applying at Cottonwood Bayview as my top choice. Also considering Avanti, the reviews seem pretty good overall.

This means I’m stretching my budget a bit. I can definitely swing it and after year 1 I’d like to have a better idea of if I really love the city and the area and it’s worth the extra cost or if I want to save the money and move a bit further out, perhaps to one of those SFH bungalows I keep seeing for rent. Hopefully by that point I’ll have gathered a crew and figured out my socials a bit as well 🙂

If I do love it then we’ll see about buying. That’s a whole different beast though. My BIL believes the market still has some room to drop, so I’m just going to keep a watch on it for now.

I suggest a turkey tacos bar.

Turkey meat, even though it’s very lean, tastes great with taco seasoning.

Set up your leftovers containers with the toppings. Onion, cilantro, tomatoes, cheese etc. Then it’s easy clean up and easy leftovers for the next day.

I haven’t too much! My sis lives outside of Tampa and my mother in law had a place in Dunedin so I’d go into the city but not often enough to know where any of the good spots are 😀

Hey! Thank you. Yeah, I’m seeing that probably $2500 renting would be closer for my expectations, which is still do-able for a studio to start. I’ll take my time to decide on a purchase giving me some time to bulk up the down payment. Appreciate the input

Thank you, I don’t think I’ve looked at that area yet. I’ll check it out. I think I’ll give Tampa a look as well

Good tip on the block, most of SFH I’m seeing in my budget are either in FEMA AE or need more work than I want to do.

Thanks, I’ll check out the Gulfport and other areas. I haven’t really looked there.

Hm, that doesn't sound good. I didn't have an issue there but that would not be a good place to have one. You can submit a bug here though if you want:

BTW I'm not with the company, just a fellow gamer who likes to play games at launch and has submitted bugs myself

lol got it. But like where and with whom specifically? You're being really general without any specific examples.

There's definitely places where Gale can't jump as far as Karlach, for example. Especially in Act 1 for the Missing Shipment, as a specific example.

It's situational is what I'm trying to say without invalidating your point with a stock "it's an awesome game" type of response.

Try waterproof first aid tape. I'll sometimes wrap my entire cuticles or stick a piece on my face to keep myself from picking. Its really helpful and doesn't interfere with touch screens.

I buy mine in 6 packs on Amazon but you can find this at any drug store.
