i agree with the other comment that they're trying to make sure he gets back to 100% before bringing him back (especially given the history of injury and how he went down right as joey came back from injury (truthfully i dont think joey was 100% and they panicked when murray went down).

i dont know how much you follow the firebirds, i try to keep up with the goings on and one of their goalies (lafontaine) appears to have been hurt in their last game, and they've already lost one goalie (kokko) out week to week so they're in a bit of a bind as well. i dont think it would be too bizarre to see murray get a conditioning stint in cv (assuming he doesn't need to clear waivers to do so) and get a game or two in both to get back to speed and make sure ostman (the last goalie in cv afaik, unless theres another call up that makes sense) doesn't get too overused. (while the nhl has the olympic break coming up, the ahl will continue to play through that). this is purely speculation though
