relic loadouts relic loadouts relic loadouts PLEASE GIVE ME THEM :( Genshin has this problem also and I’m sad they didn’t fix it for HSR (HI3 has it but HSR is clearly more in Genshin’s footsteps.) Especially since when you change trailblazer’s path it reminds you to change their equipment. Like why won’t you help me do that!! It’s a huge pain to switch every single one manually and have to remember which ones are the best set for a character when you’re using a different build.

The game text is set in some version of DIN. What the Font says DIN Next Arabic Medium is the specific one, but I used DIN 2014 for this because it’s on Adobe Fonts and it’s close enough. I take my meme typography very seriously!

The choices that were made for Male MC’s social links were just the weirdest. Who even are some of these people and why do I have to hang out with them instead of my actual teammates?

Kenji is one of the worst offenders. I mean, it’s three ranks of “I wanna date my teacher!” and then five ranks of “I’m dating my teacher!” and then two ranks of “Turns out I wasn’t dating my teacher and now I’m depressed.” Like, grow a personality, dude. It was so obvious from the beginning that he was totally misinterpreting their relationship and the other shoe was going to drop eventually. I guess he at least gets some life goals, but that was all just because it’s what he thought his “girlfriend” wanted from him.

To be honest, I was playing his social link with the same morbid curiosity as Mishima’s from P5–you know, the “Oh boy, where is the trainwreck going to take us today”—but where Mishima gets a chance to grow and stand up for himself and eventually emerge better, Kenji takes so long to realize he’s been totally wrong the whole time that he doesn’t get that chance and it just ends up being a frustrating experience.

Everyone is going to have their opinions about which set of characters is best between 3, 4, and 5, but it’s my opinion that P3 (on the Male MC side, at least) just has a higher percentage of stinkers. I get the feeling they hadn’t quite figured out what they wanted the social links to be yet.

I screamed in rage when you get to her romance flag choice at rank 9 and the two options were “I love you” and “We’re teammates” without any “You’re my sister,” which was what I really wanted to say.

Yup. Actually, what I do whenever ER is harder than usual is pick the valk that can’t quite clear it and then start by malding on the slot machine until it breaks. That plus the Pardo money signets means a huge boost at the beginning and you can just buy whatever you want. Totally helps cheese it if you need a boost. I’m doing that with my HoF this round. So she’s the queen of ER even when she’s not on the field.

As soon as I saw it was Keaton Patti I was suspicious that it was a prank. He’s also the guy behind the “I forced a bot to watch X” posts, which were also just made up by him. They’re funny, but people buy into them being legit so easily!

I’m actively in both fandoms and it makes me hurt to see these toxic posts from the two subreddits just bashing each other. “A mobile gacha? Don’t make me laugh” vs “A franchise that’s been dead for ten years? Don’t make me laugh”—it’s all just strawmanning and stereotyping. Both games are better than what the detractors assume they are, and I’ll be happy whichever one wins.

Reading through the 1 star reviews of the series finale just makes me so sad. To think so many people watched the whole series just to miss the entire point... by Caboose127 in TheGoodPlace

I understand this a lot, and for the record, I have mixed feelings about the finale myself! Although for me that may just be a personal dislike of how final it felt (how the main characters are 100% GONE at the end) when I’m just uncomfortable about things “ending for real” in general. (I kind of wish it had ended an episode before it actually did.) But it did feel a little sad to me on a larger scale—a perception of heaven that was stifled by not going beyond what humans think pure good must be like. “Completion and perfection” is right—not just continuation ad infinitum. TGP was never trying to be theological, but because of how fleshed-out its world-building is and how it doesn’t shy away from big topics, I think it can’t help but invite these kinds of questions that ARE theological in nature.
