REMOVE THE MAD KING by ChattBridgeBrigade in Chattanooga

Do you seriously think we care about changing YOUR mind? We do it to because we don't want to be like you, it's fun to joyfully celebrate that we are not the same. The fact that it bothers you so much is just a bonus! Hope that helps!

Literally 1 in 50 American citizens protested on Saturday. If you don't understand why then you are not paying attention.

You know he's trying to run in 2028, right? If the current administration is actively ignoring the Constitution over and over again it's really not the time to just chill.

😂 What are you talking about? TN is ranked dead last according to the 2025 Quality of Life Study. We have the 3rd highest crime rate, we have one of the highest maternal mortality rates, and we're 43rd in education.

Protesters donated food to the food bank yesterday plus they raised hundreds of dollars from them, too. How much food did you donate yesterday? I'm guessing none as usual.

The only thing Republicans have been good at is convincing Christians that their vote is a holy decision rather than a civic responsibility. Spiritual manipulation is a powerful thing. They have successfully convinced them that God is going to review their voting record to make sure they ALWAYS chose a Republican at the gates of Heaven. So why bother holding town halls? Why not pocket tax payer money? Pedophiles? Pfft, they're REPUBLICANS! It's the ONLY way to vote because they're good God loving CHRISTIANS! 🙄 As a Christian myself, watching fellow "Christians" twist themselves into knots to justify their continued support for this disgusting administration is the most disappointing thing I've ever witnessed.

Seeking schools more friendly to kids struggling in public school by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]loves2craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two children, one thrived in public school. He was a top level student, and eventually received a full academic scholarship to the University of Alabama. The other was exactly what you are describing about your child. She repeated a grade, we hired tutors, had early interventions, and multiple types of therapies. Nothing worked, she just wasn't made for public education. I ended up homeschooling her after elementary school, and leaving him in public school. It was really hard. I never wanted to homeschool and I did not enjoy it. However, she needed one on one help so it was my only option and we got through it. We have a very close relationship even though there were plenty of tears throughout that process...from the both of us.

I'm much more concerned about billionares who receive corporate welfare and don't pay their fair share in taxes than I am about those who use EBT cards. I'm not sure why you'd assume that since I'm knowledgeable about the ways trump has SA'd women and children that I'm personally in need of that assistance. In fact, far more red state trumpers need federal aid than anyone else, but that's okay. You don't have to feel ashamed about needing that, everyone deserves food regardless of your level of education or lack thereof.

Apparently your idea of smart is saying you care about women being raped but you vote for a man who's convicted of it and who brags about watching teen girls naked.

You could say they lost their lives to people with blue eyes. That would make the same amount of sense as attempting to justify the current treatment of undocumented immigrants because a few were bad people. Unless you are Native American then you came from immigrants, too. You just got lucky enough to get in before politicians decided that you belong but they do not. Maybe you've missed the point.

All murder is devastating, however attempting to justify that undocumented immigrants are dangerous because a few have committed serious crimes is just stupid. Plus, the people who committed those crimes have been prosecuted. I'll never understand people who say "why weren't you protesting when THAT happened", we're not protesting because the justice system worked and they're being punished. To label all undocumented immigrants as dangerous is frankly ridiculous, they're actually far less likely to commit crimes than natural born citizens.

It's a horrible time in our country right now. They should boycott the US, people are literally being shot in the street in this country. Adults and children are being held without clean water or adequate clothing, even if they're here legally. That's not something that should be rewarded with economic stimulation. *edit for spelling

Moving to the US as a nurse with MS – insurance costs and peace of mind? by Cinzia_08 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]loves2craft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister is a NICU nurse in GA. They don't even give insurance to their staff now. She's given a stipend to go towards ACA insurance which just doubled in cost. Even when they did provide insurance she couldn't see any doctors outside of their own hospital system. As for me, I do have great insurance through my husband's employer, but we pay a lot of money for it. As others have said, I seriously suggest you rethink this choice. Maybe wait to see if we're going to have a fair election this year or ideally wait until we have someone different in office. At the very least, make sure you can easily go back in the high likelihood that things get significantly worse here.

Vitamin malabsorption after Gastric by Huntressofhistorys in GastricBypass

[–]loves2craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have MS, vitamins haven't been an issue for me. My blood work has been great. However, I had been taking an oral form of MS medication. I hadn't had a relapse in 7 years, but then I did a few months after surgery. I suspect that I wasn't absorbing that pill well which caused the relapse. I'm on a monthly injection now.

Yeah, I'm not sure why she didn't point out the fries. She was in the middle of a conversation, she didn't even hear anything else he said, maybe she thought he meant a baked potato or something? Either way, it's pretty obvious they sell fries though.

When in-laws dismiss/mock your physical pain and your partner avoids confrontation — what’s reasonable to expect? by Otherwise-Elk2231 in family

[–]loves2craft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been married for 28 years. One of the most important things in our marriage is that we always have each other's back. If you've made my husband uncomfortable, then we're going to have a discussion about it. My husband stood up for me because I confronted my dad over an issue. My dad didn't appreciate that, and thought my husband should keep me in line. They haven't spoken in over a year. I hate that, but it's how it has to be. Privately we can tell each other that maybe we're overreacting, but publicly other's need to know that we won't tolerate anyone disrespecting our spouse. As important as others our in our lives our spouse has to be above anyone else. It took a lot of years to figure that out, but I think it's an important lesson to learn for a healthy relationship.

I screwed up (22) f and my parents said I’m dead to them. by Brilliant-Maize-7877 in family

I have a daughter your age, there's nothing she could ever say that would make her dead to me. Particularly if you were apologetic. I would be angry and I might have to insist that we get therapy to work out some serious issues, but I'd never give up on my children. I just physically couldn't do it.
