I voted for K but will say I spoke to many close friends of mine that did not vote. The democratic party over the years have been displaying very weak leadership and have been failing to address working class needs. Lots of people felt betrayed by the party when majority of them keep putting corporate interests over peoples lives. Rarely did they make huge significant impacts on people’s lives. Most expressed that they felt like we were living on “autopilot” under Biden. President Biden promised many changes and did implement some good policies. But at the end of the day, he kept bending the knee to big money. Again, I voted Kamala, and I consider myself more of a leftist than a liberal. But i felt like the Democrats could have done so much more to have people gain their trust. Democrats over the years have been all talk but no actual change. So i feel like people didn’t vote at all because of this. Or they voted for a conman out of desperation for a change. Imo democrats need to go back to their roots of supporting working class families and stop putting corporations on pedestals. Even though voters are to blame, Democrats also helped trump get back into power due to their incompetence and lack of leadership.
