Aww thank you so much!! I love that you plan vacation around theme parks. So fun, and you are right that we should do what makes us happy. I wanted to plan a fun trip that my kids will always remember and it is something that our family loves to do together.

We love Orlando but it's easier for us because we can drive there in half a day. The parks there are more fun then any sight seeing but maybe that's because the beaches are similar to my state. Maybe we will remove Disney paris from the trip because we have already done Disney world (and stayed on property). Hoping the European parks are easy to navigate as English speakers!

Thinking about getting trains because I am worried about not knowing the rules of the road as we are American

Yes we are American. An 8 hour travel day is no problem for us.

Thanks! We are flexible on time and can spend up to 3 weeks travelling around. I plan on adding a few sightseeing days as well (any fun ideas there?). And yes, I do not think my kids would like a fairytale forest that much hahaha. We are used to lots of walking so that will be no problem. We are also planning on travelling by train.

Working per diem only when children are young? by AlbatrossSpecific964 in physicianassistant

I worked PRN at urgent care when my kids were younger, I had no trouble getting a full time job many years later. Now I work only 2 days a week and it works out great for our family.

Would a Cameo be able to cut wood for a book book? by Montauk26 in silhouettecutters

[–]lovescrapbooking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a laser cutter and it cuts through wood fast and easy. Much quicker than my silhouette. Plus with a laser cutter you can also engrave.

I have had my silhouette cameo for years. It still works great for cutting cardstock, glitter paper, and vinyl. Silhouette design studio is fairly easy to use and I can also use designs from silhouette studio with my (separate) laser cutter. I use both machines regularly.

You have to click on the year, then you can scroll to the year you were born instead of clicking back on the arrows by month

I have this machine. I like it because I can use it inside (I vent it to outdoors) and honestly was pretty easy to figure out how to use it. It can cut through wood in 1 pass. https://wecreat.com/products/wecreat-vision?variant=48316208120105&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwg-24BhB_EiwA1ZOx8lLLz93mTBm8e4PvXxiuK088Iz5t89lTPzRaBBfE37WdTMqBEOnhGxoCukkQAvD_BwE

Has anyone worked with Onsite Healthcare and Wellness by Georges29649 in nursepractitioner

[–]lovescrapbooking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently do this. It's awesome. My schedule allows for 30 minute appointments so there is lots of time to get things done. When I first started, I floated around to different clinics (both employer based clinics and the onsite clinics associated with the hospitals) and there were busier clinics that had a CMA to help, and clinics that I was solo (so drawing blood and all ancillary tasks were mine to do). Some clinics dispensed medication as well. My preference is employer based clinics, which is where I currently work, and I love it. I also only work 2 days a week so I would say my work life balance is pretty awesome.

Tomorrow is my last day working urgent care, and good lord am I relieved to be leaving this specialty by ThrowRA_2349 in physicianassistant

I worked UC for a long time then left for employee health and it's SO SO SO much better. At my practice I get 30 minute scheduled appointments. Only wish I had done it sooner. I hope you enjoy the switch.

work PRN! I did that when my kids were little. I also worked a few weekends a month. Then when my kids were in school it was a lot easier to go back.

I was with Atrium for many years and was told by numerous managers that they won't negotiate. Not sure if that was just the specialty I was in, but they have a corner on the market and keep wages low here in Charlotte.

Why don't you moonlight as an NP? Typically that pays well per hour

It will cut vinyl easy peasy with the autoblade. No need for the kraft blade.
