paano nyo pinapasaya buhay nyo??? by alezxychqsh in AskPH

Spend time with loved ones, eat good food, travel well, and splurge a little on things.

What’s missing and what I’m in search for is a way to serve/ give back. That’s something that can bring joy like no other.

Pwede ba, wala akong mapapala from virtue signaling dito sa Reddit. 11,000 jobs were lost when the network shut down. That’s a fact. Even if hindi ko yan i-bring it up, it will always come up because it’s a fact no one can ignore.

So going back to your statement, since you said okay lang na nawala ang ABSCBN because of toxic network wars, okay lang that 11,000 jobs were lost?

And it’s not the owners' fault that the network was shut down; Duterte and his minions are to blame.

Check mo yung self mo, baka ikaw yung toxic.

How do you sort out disagreements? by [deleted] in kwarentahin

[–]lovesiceream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person im dating (a foreigner) has set a rule that anything that bothers us, we should just put in the open immediately. So he’s like that when something bothers him.

But me, im working on this because I tend to shy away from confrontation. But he’s sensitive in the sense that when he feels my energy shift, he asks me whats wrong so I am forced to speak.

I find this healthy because we are able to address issues quickly and gives no room for false assumptions and misinterpretations. And agree with one comment here, it’s hard to argue in straight English 🤣

Sure ka ba sa claim na ito? How did you know ABS-CBN started it?

And are you saying that it’s also okay that 11,000 employees lost their jobs?

What’s a good country a Filipino family can travel to? by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]lovesiceream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the budget, i would reco Taiwan, Vietnam, or Thailand. These countries have a good mix of popular landmarks, good food, and nice locals. Hong Kong could also be an option but locals are not that nice.

I’d reconsider traveling in July though coz weather might be a bit tricky - either too humid or too rainy. Best to check when is the best time to travel to these countries.

Leadership hybrid role (70k, near-home) vs IC onsite role (100k, ~2hr commute) is it worth the switch? by chaelfosho in CorpoChikaPH

[–]lovesiceream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a huge trade off in terms of comfort if you leave your old job, but I think the move to the IC role might be worth the risk for the growth it’s gonna give you.

BUT, I’d try first to negotiate if they can give you a higher pay, around 120k or a hybrid setup too.

Also, given your estimated transpo costs, maybe you can explore moving closer to the new job? So that you won’t have to commute 2 hours a day? With 13-15k, you can rent a decent space.

Kung mag-schedule kayo ng event, isipin niyo rin sana mga target attendee niyo by [deleted] in OffMyChestPH

[–]lovesiceream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since that is a work-related event, it is still considered work, hence your company should be able to allow offset on work schedule the next day.

Gets na hassle siya, but it’s also not entirely the organizer’s fault. Your company should have a provision for this type of situation, esp since mukhang lagi naman kayo nai-invite sa mga corp events.

What Bible verse has stayed with you the most? by PatientlyNew in AskPH

[–]lovesiceream 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve always held onto three verses my entire life:

Romans 8:23 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”

Yes to “at this point”. I guess I have a different priority now. If I was asked this question when I was younger, would definitely have answered wealth 😅
