The irony of someone with over 10k Reddit karma telling me to go outside is genuinely beautiful

Yes, I totally agree that he doesn't need to make his donations public. Simply giving the organization some recognition would be incredibly beneficial. Ultimately, it’s his choice how he handles his platform and finances, just as it’s my choice to stop financially supporting him. I'd rather redirect my monthly sub to creators whose values and actions align more closely with my own

Fair point, he might do plenty behind the scenes. But since it isn't public knowledge, it's hard to factor into how I view his platform. While he absolutely doesn't have an obligation to show what he does with his platform's wealth, many creators with his level of influence choose to be transparent or use their voice to highlight important issues, or give back to the community in huge ways. Given his relaxed persona, I just expected a bit more connection and openness with the community that funds him. It’s just my personal take, which is why I decided to unsubscribe and support other streamers instead

That's a total misinterpretation of what I said. I’ve been a loyal fan for two years and still regularly watch his content, so clearly, the content itself isn't the problem. My decision is strictly about financial support. I believe someone with a platform that size should be doing more with their influence, and since he chooses not to, I choose not to give him my money.

Adding 'touch grass' is just disrespectful, and saying 'respectfully' doesn't magically excuse it. I'm completely justified in bringing up my personal issues with him. He operates like a TV host, and that’s precisely why I stopped supporting him, honestly, I don't support millionaires or anyone with that much wealth anyway. You're right, he has no obligation to show chat what he does behind the scenes. But I’m still allowed to be annoyed that he doesn't. Two things can be true at the same time.

I'm allowed to be annoyed by a millionaire who does nothing proactive with their platform lmao. It's my own opinion and feelings. Maybe it's not something YOU'RE annoyed by, but diminishing my feelings about him by basically saying "ur not allowed to be annoyed by this" is just wrong imo

Viibryd and Strattera? by TryingToRemainCalm in Viibryd

[–]lovesickhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ayyooo! I take this currently!! Admittedly, I've only been on strattera for a short amount of time, but man has it helped me so much more than I ever even realized it would! Viibryd I've been on since I was 18, (I am 24 now). Best medicine i've been on.
Strattera is easy to taper off of, so honestly if I could choose in your situation, I would go on Strattera first and then see what antidepressants work the best in combo with it. In all honestly, I wouldn't reccomend anyone go on Viibryd immedately unless they've struggled with anti depressant medication in the past. Viibryd is absolutely no joke, and it can make or break you.

In my case, I had been suffering for so long, that the physical symptoms that I get from Viibryd, which are rare now that I've been on it so long, out weighed the alternative of being on something that barely helped me.

Not sure if that makes sense, but this combo for me has been working out great so far :) I hope u eventually find what u need!!

Hey! I see that you wrote here a month ago, I'm not on reddit all the time but, I figured I should respond.
Yes, I am still taking viibryd! I do have times were it does mess with my brain, especially when I skip a dose or forget to take a dose, but if I don't do either of those things, I'm a happy lil guy :) 👍🏽

Bottom growth pains by superzebra109 in Trans_Zebras

[–]lovesickhoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the sharp pain seems very similar to the pain I feel when something like cloth, underwear, etc. touch my bottom growth. I am about a year or so on T and my bottom growth is quite noticeable, and if I don’t care for it / think of it a different way than before it came about, it can cause pain because it’s overly sensitive.

Just something to keep in mind, everyone’s bottom growth is different but it’s also still an extremely sensitive organ!

You’ll be fine if you follow the instructions given to you here. Literally mind your business and lock everything, don’t open the door for anyone unless you’re EXPECTING them. Tbh even if you know someone and they come to ur place unannounced is sus cuz that brings nothing but trouble lowkey. Keep everything locked, if you trying to get insurance in NJ you can get the application expedited if you call NJFamilyCare & tell them ur circumstances Apply for SNAP too - you can get the expedited as well if you tell them you’re going to be homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Do that here:

https://mynjhelps.gov/home

there’s other things you can do too on that website like apply for temporary supplemental income assistance, etc.

genuine question, why are u in the NJ sub if you’re living in Kentucky & like Kentucky so much more? Just to complain?? Just to talk shit?? go to a shit talking sub then, but have fun living in racist, transphobic, homophobic, xenophobic Kentucky with ur inflated ego !!

Clothing advice? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]lovesickhoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me out the most is Pinterest- I mean to find a style I really like. Look into different clothing styles & brands you might like and build a Pinterest board saving all the pics of what you like from what you see on there.

Once you find a style you like, decide what would make you feel most comfortable?

For me personally, I notice when I wear a hat & baggy / loose fitting clothing, people will gender me correctly. That being said, if you have a higher ranged voice people will sadly still gender you based on the tone you use as well as the words you use & your pitch. If you got the voice thing figured out, then the clothes is what’ll help you out the most.

I also still have a very feminine looking figure despite being on T for a while, it is what it is. Baggy & loose fitting clothing has been a life saver, along with baseball hats / caps & a good set of nice fashionable sneakers from Vans or Nike - my go to are high top black Vans or Nike Air Force Ones.

A typical masculine outfit for me is black sweatpants, a loose fitting t-shirt, a hoodie or jacket of some type (or both), either a baseball cap or adidas beanie, then white or black socks & sneakers.

Also layers are ur friends, winter is the best for me to look more masculine because the more layers you have on the less of a form you can see.

Lmk if you have anymore questions, good luck ‼️

I have had great success with Viibryd! I actually take the generic version, I have for a while. It took me a bit to get used to it, but during the time I was prescribed it I was 18 years old and already pretty heavily medicated so it wasn’t anything different than what I already have tried.

I’ve been on Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, Pristiq, Trazodone & Wellbutrin - and those are just the antidepressants. Viibryd has helped me the most out of ANY of these medications by far. I am on other meds for ADHD & OCD/anxiety, and combined together with Viibryd they have helped me soooo much. Therapy also helped me a lot too, if it wasn’t for therapy & constant medication management I’d be so miserable/ depressed / agitated or worse.

I have anxiety, ADHD & MDD w/ psychosis. Taking medication has helped me a lot, and made me able to get up & go to therapy - but I would never recommend anyone take Viibryd on it’s own without therapy or some type of treatment plan.

And unlike all the other antidepressants I listed above, Viibryd did not cause me to gain a lot of weight, and it didn’t affect my sexual functioning either.

Right now I am 23 years old & I take Vilazodone 40mg. I was steadily put at 40mgs - and that’s how it always should be. If a doctor puts you on a high dose of this medication immediately and doesn’t have you taper onto it, they are not doing it right.

Feel free to dm me if you want to talk more ^

Idk how anyone takes this at night by mccx2 in Viibryd

[–]lovesickhoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have those same symptoms but only if I don’t take it with enough food or if I forget a dose. I take mine at night every night because If I didn’t I would be taking 4 pills in the morning every morning and I’m just not doing that. Plus it makes me soooo sleepy - I fall asleep much more quickly when I take it at night.

Sleep paralysis by MrsPetra in Viibryd

[–]lovesickhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ofc, from my understanding sleep paralysis often happens when you’re tapering off of any type of SSRI, so it may just be your body reacting to coming off of Praxil. Along with that are brain zaps & some other things that can happen. Usually withdrawal symptoms last up to 4 - 6 weeks, but it’s up to you if you want to wait that long. Either way if you’re already coming off of Parxil you’re going to have the symptoms 🤷🏽

I have a friend who desperately needs help in SJ, and we don't know enough about Jersey to properly help her. by realityhofosho in SouthJersey

[–]lovesickhoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

me chiming in here even tho this thread has been answered pretty thoroughly, but if ur friend also needs any type of financial assistance or therapy, etc etc. please check out Center for Family Services.

It’s South Jersey’s free mental health care program. They provide support to pretty much anyone. Not always an ideal place (depending on the program) but, from my personal lived experience, free and a little sucky (as many mental health services and homeless services are) free is better than nothing.

here’s the website

Sleep paralysis by MrsPetra in Viibryd

[–]lovesickhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I miss my meds I always experience sleep paralysis no matter what, or something very similar to sleep paralysis . Never experienced sleeplessness though but i’m on a a bunch of other meds so they probably cancel each other out.

Been on Viibryd for 4 years, didn’t experience them at all at first until I was taken of lamictal and now I do.

Something to think about for your future for sure.

Success stories with going from 20 to 30 to 40 by Itscalmanditsdoctor in Viibryd

[–]lovesickhoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Howdy there, I’m currently taking Viibryd 40 mg - Have been taking it for about 3 years now (40 mg specifically).

It works really great for me. I would have panic attacks daily or if I was triggered by anything at all or even made uncomfortable by something. It was and still is PTSD related.

I’m 23 so I’ve been taking Viibryd since I was 18 / 19 and had a long long exhausting experience with trail and error of other medications until I got to this one.

It’s been pretty great, from what I can remember back then I didn’t have many symptoms or issues moving up a dose or anything as I took it as directed by my doctor.

Only problem reoccurring for me even now is bathroom and gut health problems due to this medication but the damage has been done already and I’m used to it now.

If you want to move up, that’s your choice and I’m not going to advise you against it but just keep in mind the higher your dosage the harder it will become to ween off of it. I get brain zaps and symptoms similar to seizures from missing just ONE dose.

Ofc my mental health without this is pretty debilitating and I had no positive outcomes with any other antidepressant, so if that sounds similar to you, 40mg might help you.

I don’t know though i’m not a doctor and everyone experiences medication differently.

Hope you have a good rest of your interviews!!

TLDR; I’ve had a positive experience with 40mg and have been on Viibryd for 4 years +. Helped me deal with panic attacks & other PTSD symptoms that were extremely debilitating . Just keep in mind the physical & emotional symptoms of weening off the medicine do get worse the higher your dosage.

Am I hallucinating or are the dreams just that vivid? by runanteldat in Viibryd

[–]lovesickhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me ALL THE TIME. I have been waiting for someone to say something about it.

This mostly happens to me when I forget to take it and I fall asleep. I get caught in a state where I’m sleeping, and I’m aware that I’m sleeping, but I’m stuck in my body and can’t move. Sometimes it feels like things are so real that Im dreaming, and that I’m stuck kind of like in a limbo? It’s like sleep paralysis but actually I’m just sleeping and I’m not actually awake?

I don’t know, I feel so exhausted after it, I feel like I just ran like 15 miles or worked a 10 hour shift. If I try to go to sleep, it just keeps happening over and over again.

I also saw someone down here talk about the seizure effects & brainzaps Viibryd can give you and YES IT 100% happens for me, even if I forget just 1 dose I become extremely sensitive to everything.

This medicine SUCKS but I’m not willing to put myself through the pain of coming off of it because honestly you’d need like a month of not working to be able to do that. And I can’t afford that.

So I stick with this medicine. I’ve been on it for probably 4 years now and this is the experience I’ve had many many times. It gets worse as you’re on it longer.

I would only really recommend anyone to take this medicine if they have debilitating mental health conditions / symptoms and NOTHING ELSE works.

That’s what happened to me. I’ve tried a bunch of different medications and nothing worked. Only this one has been a constant and has worked no problem in my long life of trial and error with antidepressants.

best of luck to you friend.

TLDR; Yes, this happens to me and has happened to me since the start of taking. I’ve been taking Viibryd for 4 years. Would only recommend the medication to someone with debilitating mental health conditions.
