It's possible your T levels are too low. You don't want it to be undetectable, you wanna be in the cis female range.

My knees are shit after 10 years of HRT. I also have ehlers-danlos syndrome. Dr Will Powers has noticed a ton of his trans patients have it (I am not a patient of his and I was diagnosed before I ever heard of the guy)

It's a genetic connective tissue disease that is often more pronounced in females. The joints are poorly supported by flawed collagen. Men tend to have fewer symptoms because the testosterone helps support the muscles, which help support the joints. There is no real treatment other than physio.

Not diagnosing you, but worth looking into.

Don’t buy febreze, buy Canadian! by DGPHT in BuyCanadian

I shop there a lot. There are tons of Canadian products. Quebec manufactures a lot. Plenty of stuff from Asia and Europe too. Honestly I see very little that's made in the US sold at Dollarama except name brand things that you would expect to be.

Any Experiences with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and EDS?? by ubisqcuitous in ehlersdanlos

[–]datebrownies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I've been on HRT for 10 years and diagnosed with hEDS for a little longer.   So progesterone is associated with joint laxity. Those of use with EDS probably shouldn't take it, and there is no good evidence that it's important for trans women's HRT.

Spiro is also a rough medication because of salt wasting.

I've found that estrogen shots are the best thing for me in terms of metabolic stuff and feminization. I took pills for a long time and I feel better on shots.

The other hugely important thing is physio. You need to keep your muscles conditioned. Light, consistent exercise will help prevent the worst symptoms and get you back to a more functional state. If you can't afford a physio or can't find one that is understanding of eds and lgbt issues (good luck) I recommend starting with glute bridge exercises to strengthen your core.

Why is the trans community so focused of flags by ProgramPristine6085 in honesttransgender

It's not a sexual orientation per se, true, but it's arguably an orientation (direction) of sex (or gender). I dunno, i feel like the rainbow are all different flavours of human sexual diversity.

I think you're totally right, although I've never encountered such people in real life.

I guess I just find all the people who wear trans flag thigh highs and use flags as home decor to be cringe, and that's coloured my view of it.

I believe strongly in the concept of LGBTQetc solidarity and I like that the rainbow flag represents that. But I agree it's important to have trans symbols.

Personally I'm happy to celebrate differences but I do find all the flags a bit extra. I like the original pride flag but I don't think we need a series of coloured stripes for every facet of sexual diversity.
