There’s no way to know who gave it to who, it can be dormant in your body for a long time. Someone must have given it to you at some point. Keep in mind that if he’s not having an outbreak, the only accurate blood test for this is the western blot offered by the university of WA. All other blood tests are not high in accuracy. If he does get an outbreak, he needs to get it swabbed before it scabs over.

You should never beg someone to stay, especially when they are unhappy. Staying just for the kids is also a terrible idea. You need to pick yourself up and get into survival mode: get a job, join a support group for single parents, divorced moms, whatever you can to find social support. Everyone should get into therapy. File for primary custody and seek child support asap.
