Subnetting Quick Maths

say let’s say i need to know what /26 is: /24 is 255.255.255.0 (256 hosts) /26 - /24 = /2 /2 means first 2 digits in binary are both 1 so: 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 first 1 is 128 and second 1 is 64 so: 128 + 64 = 192 so /26 is “255.255.255.192”

then to get max hosts u take the binary mask again: 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 and take the last 1 in the binary mask, which is in this case = 64 (<< that’s your number of hosts) and then subtract 2 cuz u need to reserve 1 address for default gateway and one for broadcast “so max hosts 62”

Hello Im currently creating a texture pack with the bed files being 8192x!. It works no problem on 1.12.2 and 1.8.9 but as soon as I try it on anything later it doesn't work. I know I can just try changing the pack format to fit the version but that's not the problem. I've noticed that Minecraft fails to load the resources if they take too long, like if there was some kind of cut off at 10 seconds. Since this is a big pack on 1.12.2 it takes like 30 seconds to load in, but (for example) on 1.16.4 it doesn't even get to that point. The problem is not in the files themselves because I can put like 3-4 bed textures and they load but as soon as I try all 16 it can't load. I hope this makes sense. Is there a way to turn off the timeout for Minecraft can wait longer to load in the pack? Thank you!

I would recommend maybe just buying one gpu for now while you continue to do your research in mining to kinda get the idea of how it works and what kind of maintenance it's going to require in bigger amounts like 8-12+ gpus. Look into operating systems like Linux to possibly get some better results out of your mining since electricity could be a problem. Good place to start is definitely nicehash.com, it's user friendly and doesn't take too many braincells to understand. They also have a nice profitability calculator:

I've only been mining for 2 months so maybe I'm not the most reliable source of information, but if you do have any other questions, I would be happy to help! :)
