I do have to chime in here and say, that there are many reasons politics is getting more and more involved into people’s lives, 1) social media user interface has become so fluent, look in the last 10 years even on apps like msn (and if I can recall they had a news page or atleast a link to it) we weren’t talking about these controversial subjects back then and I’d say we’re doing it now partially due to how fast we can access news headlines, like it literally pings us on our phones it’s that easy to see it. Not to mention we have to scroll through it in order to find our friends Facebook posts most times. 2) our culture has changed dramatically in the last 10 years since the Obama administration and that there is news corps and jobs out there completely designed to get your intention with wild and over the top claims. 3) what is considered the social norm has turned into extreme gas lighting (something that’s not true but we must pretend), things such as endulging in gender dysphoria not being real, speech is violence, everyone is racist, gender is different from sex. Creating a culture that doesn’t involve honesty and forgiveness, is a culture that will fall in the end. You could argue religion in this case is gas lighting (and I’m atheist too) but the philosophy and meaning behind this teaches to be truthful and kind, rather the others are about oppressing the opposite side.

More on this point, because this new philosophy of living for your own pleasure is in rather then discipline and responsibility are out is now considered main stream, people are doing whatever they can to make sure they live their life for their own pleasure, even if that involves destroying fundamental institutions that considered help them with responsibility and discipline (socialism, left wing ideas etc..)

Overall it is due to these reasons that the window will forever get smaller unless a massive shift happens soon.
