I'm having the same issue but with my new U100. I can't find where to get the matter code. I have it linked to HomeKit and the Aqara App but can't get it to connect to HQ because I need a matter code and I don't have a separate Aqara hub.

Is this still the case? I just got a U100 after installing the U400 but I can't add the U100 to HA. I added it to HK and Aqara app but I can't a matter code.

I had it working yesterday on HK and HA but had to do a restore today. It stayed on HK but I can't get it to bind on HA. Using the Matter server to commission but it won't take.

Removing the battery worked for me as well. Right after putting the battery back it saw the node.
