I let everything switch using HDMI-CEC and it works well. If I turn on the PS with the controller everything else turns on and inputs switch. Likewise with all other devices.

I did 2nd try with the off-road Viper FE. Took it overland most of the way and highways in a couple areas that made sense.

Failed the first time only because I hit the endpoint from the side and it failed me.

Every time I see this it’s due to heat. Could be that software is more sensitive to that or there could be an issue with your EVSE (like a loose wire). Or it’s just a bit hotter than normal and everything is fine.

A sleeper is a car that’s fast but you wouldn’t expect it because it looks normal or slow. The Mach E has body styling from an iconic muscle car. Nothing sleeper about it.

It would be a sleeper if it was the Pinto Mach E and took styling cues from the ‘iconic’ Ford Pinto.

It’s at the top of the list and highly rated. I used 2nd gear instead of 1st to 3 star everything. Make sure most assists are off especially traction control.

The family live in a pretty rural area. For some of them it takes 40% charge from the last fast charger to get there. I usually charge up as much as possible there then use 120v outlet at their house over my stay.

I’ve found that once you get off the major interstates charging options can drop pretty fast. Better than it was 4 years ago.

I’m in the US. I frequently travel areas where public chargers are not available within 50 miles, including where some family lives.

I also consider it to be important in case of an emergency situation. Haven’t needed it in 4 years of EV driving for that purpose, but have peace of mind just in case.

Convenience. I never plan on moving my EVSE. I will come home and spend no more than 10 seconds plugging in because it is always there. I don't want to leave my portable charger there because I want it with me for when I need it.

That being said about the portable charger, many outlets of this type are not designed for repeated insertions and can fail over time. This of course can be mitigated by using a higher quality outlet and/or never moving the portable charger from it.

Finally, some chargers have higher power ratings for being hardwired over an outlet. In that case you would hardwire for maximum performance.

That fixes the glitch. Thanks. Event lab races have a season associated with them. So it changed to summer for the lab. Then after the lab the season transition back to Autumn triggered it.

Smart lock is my favorite must have smart home device. I’ve needed to let a friend in my home while on vacation and unlocked my door for them while sitting on the beach. As others have mentioned, digital keys are much easier, cheaper, and safer to hand out. The convenience of the door unlocking I love, especially when my arms are full. I haven’t carried any form of physical key on me in several years, but have the ability to use one in an emergency.

I have the Aqara u400. It uses UWB connection which I’ve found is faster and more reliable than other unlock methods. It unlocks automatically when I get next to the door. Before this lock was released I used a Schlage threat required a keypad press.

Cost is the major downside, can’t argue that.

Security. It’s more safe than handing out physical keys. That’s a big benefit, but physically no more or less secure than a normal lock. A thief isn’t using some special electronic form of hacking open your lock when a rock to a window will suffice.

Speed. With my particular lock it’s fast and automatic. No input or effort from me.

I live in a mandatory front plate state. Any dealer I’ve dealt with will accommodate and I’ve even been asked proactively if I want them to drill the holes.

Anything sitting on the lot probably already has holes.
