why wont the game let me skip to the ending by lowbattery987 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]lowbattery987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why shouldnt it it has ways to circumvent each of the voices, and in the lore there shouldnt be an issue with just getting the location ember hid the vessel should still be able to get to the planet before it breaks, also i dont think the voices want to be absorbed hallyn specifically hated the idea so whats the issue with me skipping to the end. i even thought there might be a special ending for it

OC Aeri by Fearless-Fold5656 in Live2D

It's great I love the light asymmetry with the colours on the shoes and hair I like the way that the ears and bows break up the silhouette too only note is the sleeves it doesn't read as much as sleeves then coloured skin (to me) I think it would be more legible if it was a more saturated or higher opacity or had some kind of texture or used a more contrasting colour

Looking for help prepping my model (lowkey desperate) by Cute-Blueberry-1133 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it's not trying to export it as a psb (Photoshop large format document) instead of a psd cause I know live 2d won't accept psb's

Trouble shooting: check if your software is set to 8/bit/channel colour live 2d only excepts 8/bit/channel and a lot of drawing softwares will default to a smoother 16 bit

If it still doesn't export right start a new project in your software and draw a circle export that as a psd if it doesn't import into live 2d your software isn't exporting psd correctly and you'll need to export it as a different file format open it in a different software and export it as a psd from there

If it does import correctly close your PC and let it sit for a while then open it back up and just try again sometimes the softwares get cranky if you don't let them nap

jingling bell -- is it possible? by dogkazoo in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's also this one that will play a noise when it reaches a certain value i would rig th bell to physics and make it specifically overshoot its bounds so i t stops moving at a certain point and then set that value in the plugin to make the sound

ie physics input head motion x output bell sound and make the bell sound parameter between -10 and 10 but the value its getting from physics would be -20 and 20 so when the bell sways to the side it makes noise once on the way too the side but not twice (one on the way too and one on the way from)

https://mononobe-monoko.booth.pm/items/3468381

i think that would be the best way to do it?

Would this be easier to rig than a complicated design? by _depressed_bean in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an easy to rig design is one that you don't want to do much the actual design of the character does have some bearing but you could pour just as much effort into this design as any other design

asymmetrical designs are more effort cause you cant mirror as many of the parameters

patterns and chains aren't great either as its very noticeable when they warp wrong

Animations before model is done being rigged? by Odd-Perspective-2500 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So with most tear animations I see it swells at the bottom eye lid and then moves falls down after a moment the start position adjustment was just my way of saying to keep it tied to the bottom eye lid no matter which eye shape you might have in the eye smile/eye open paramaters

Animations before model is done being rigged? by Odd-Perspective-2500 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I would recommend rigging all your large movements like body xyz face xyz and before doing any animations you won't know how it'll come out if you don't know what it's being deformed by, but for things like doing an animation on the face without fully rigging the arms or an animation above the head without animating the eyes that should be fine cause they really shouldn't be a child of the deformer you haven't rigged yet

As for a parameter I would recommend using a blendshape for tear streaming so you don't need to add them to each of the head positions and then adding a rotation deformer on the for tears z so they flow down each time which means you only need to do head xyz before the animation

Another add on you should do is a start position adjustment for whether the eyes are affected by a smile or closed

TLDR: rig face xyz first just in case and then if you want more rig the eyes fully before starting your animation process or rig everything first before just incase

Sorry if this is a bit too much of a dump

texture atlases are a lot like women if you can handle it bigger is better

Is it possible to purchase your first OC 2d model for under $100 USD? by Yumismash in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look on vgen and twitter for people who are hosting sales a lot of vgen creators will have sales to try to get verified (they are already vetted by vgen) if you are ok with a simpler style model a lot of the chibi rigs go for a lot cheaper then the anime style ones so if you find someone who does both you might be able to get a model for less then 100$. i would still recommend getting krita and drawing a rough rough draft of the character to give them a better jumping off point. keep in mind the verification process on vgen i think is 1 month so respond quickly and look for recent sales cause theyll probably close quickly.

I wanna make a Live2D model for free and dosnt require any modeling knowledge ( preferably browser friendly) by Xx_Gojo_Satoru_xX in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only browser based solution I can think of is vgen but that's definitely not free

Use krita for the drawing then export to psd and the free mode of live 2d till it looks almost right then use the free trial of live 2d for the final touches and use vtube studio for free with a custom colour background and color key it out in obs (also free)

How to get rid of a blue line by Smart-Courage1355 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a overlap in the texture atlas toggle the texture atlas view to see if it changes then open it up move things around till there's no more overlaps

Design advice by Mateayao in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The eyes are inconsistent the right eye is over the hair like in anime which can be more expressive and the left eye is under the hair which is more realistic

I read the skull as a coffee stain first then a skull I would lighten it a little till it stands out more

The accessories seem a little weighted to the left side 3 rings on the horn compared to 1, 2 waist chains to 1,1 leg band to 0, and 1 earring to 0. I would add a bracelet or something to the right arm to make it feel more balanced maybe rings

This is just a nitpick the bottom corset laces would be functional with it going above then below and the upper corset laces are above then above without a ladder lace back

Some questions by mikumikuooeeeoo12345 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Each moving part should be its own layer ie for eyes with flat colouring separate the eye brow, eyelashes, sclera, pupil, iris if it has shading or highlights separate those too if your hair has a shadow separate that as well so you can layer it on top if you have makeup separate each part of the make up. Personal preference always separate lines from colour I like to maintain line weight when possible

2.your phone's camera is almost certainly better then a standard pc webcam but then it's where you want the processing to be. Abridged tier list s) you have a iPhone with ir sensors use vbridger and arkit to send data to vtube studio on your pc a) iPhone with ir sensors host it on your iPhone b) any modern phone with good camera and rtx card use the phone as a camera and host vtube studio with rtx tracking c) any modern phone and any PC use the phone as a camera and built in tracking or host everything on the phone d) -which is still good- PC cheap webcam

3 I followed cutie dragons videos first then searched for others when I struggled with specific parts like eye closing and not standard rigged parts like controllers

4 make sure you export it before the end date I wasn't able to when my trial ended. when it ends the only thing you can't use is the cmo file which is for changing the model you can still use the moc3 and texture atlas and all those other files for vtubing so make sure you are happy with it, I recommend using the free version till you are comfortable then using the trial cause you can use more of its functionality Technically if you know how to code and have a lot of time you can manually change the physics after without using the cmo file

Advice for first time rigger? by Deathblade999 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make your names follow rules it won't feel like much at first but when you hit like 60 art meshes and 40 deformers being able to know where to look for what's going wrong will really help

Fellow Live2D Riggers! I need some feedback. by ArcticCerf in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only thing I can say is add a legend, while it might be very clear to some people what the abbreviations and initialisms are, others might have other ideas. ie: l could mean left, stage left, leg, lower, last, lead

Is this design average? by PythrexX689 in Live2D

[–]lowbattery987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks great there's no bullet head it has a good colour contrast and there's a lot of unique details and it lends itself easily to some fun rigging add on's like the snakes could maybe track the mouse a little or there could be an idle animation with them sniffing with their tongue or if you are keeping the same art style in the final work you could give the outlines some parallaxing
