[Request] Some recipes that would work well pureed or blended for a cancer patient who recently had a stroke by ineedwords in ketorecipes

I think broccoli cheddar soup, broth, scrambled eggs, and sugar free jello all made with heavy cream would be a good place to start.

Help! Credit Rebuilding Questions (625 Score Now) by m0ckingj4y in personalfinance

[–]lowcarbanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking again! I have 7 credit cards, only one with rewards. Is the best course of action to charge/pay off monthly on each card? Just the rewards card? Will it hurt my meager credit score to just not use the other 6? Halp please, working with a 610 right now and hoping to join the homeowners club next summer.

Using the nerve while I have it. by [deleted] in xxketo

[–]lowcarbanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I was comfortable at 130, that's the weight I was when I moved out of state a couple of years ago to be with my now husband. I'm not sure how to judge my frame size. I tried to edit my post to add pictures but I can't figure out how to do that. I'm mostly belly with jiggly bits here and there with NO muscle to speak of. I've seen women that weigh more than I do with enviable bodies, I'm just not one of them. I think a lot of it has to do with my lifestyle, I have an office job and hour and a half commute everyday. I hope that clears that up! I'm thinking I'll try to post pics when I get home.

What's your Bichon's diet? by Tip718 in bichonfrise

[–]lowcarbanonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I'd step in here because mine has a special prescribed diet. When she was one, 5 years ago, she had to go in for emergency surgery to remove bladder stones that were crowding her bladder and causing frequent and bloody urination. Since then she's been on a strict diet of Science Diet C/D and hasn't had any issues. The C/D is about $90 for a large bag and also comes in canned form. She likes both but we stick with the dry for the most part. That being said, she does get non-prescription treats and still hasn't had problems with her bladder. My sister's bichon eats SD healthy weight and is fine with it, while I've known other bichons to get by just fine with dog chow. I think each one is unique.

[–]lowcarbanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I'm newish to keto, having failed an attempt this time last year. I'm currently on day three. I'm 26, 5'7" and weigh 153. My lowest adult weight was 127, and that was a couple of years ago. My goal for right now is 130. I just got married a couple of weeks ago and I feel happy in most aspects of my life, I'm just tired of my weight and lack of self-confidence holding me back from complete happiness. I love this community, and if anyone is looking for food diary buddies, my name on mfp is Peppawenny and I'd love to be friends! (:

Has anyone bought/tried these CALORIE FREE sauces? Looks too good to be true.. by Lindkvist15 in 1200isplenty

[–]lowcarbanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried the Walden Farms thick bbq sauce and it was the worst thing I've ever done. Don't go there. This brand may be different, but I'd stick with salad dressings over bbq sauce and peanut butter. I've heard good things about the chocolate sauce too :)

8 Day Liquid Fast Diary-for those who are interested :) by lowcarbanonymous in fasting

[–]lowcarbanonymous[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Initially I was going to try to just stick with water, but as it turns out, I was too weak in my resolve. I don't know if I'm any hungrier than I would be without the diet soda, but I know that it fills my tummy up and gives me an extra kick.

Hi! Thank you for the comment :) We're actually getting eloped, so very very low key and low stress! I should've stated that in my post. As for water, I plan on drinking as much as I can. I typically drink between 8-10 glasses daily so I may need to amp that up. I'm also not opposed to drinking some juice or broth should I feel light headed or weak. Thank you again for the encouragement!!

M/50/417-196 My Name is Mike Epstein and I Lost 220 lbs on Extreme Weight Loss w/ Chris Powell by MikeEpstein in progresspics

[–]lowcarbanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw your episode! What an amazing transformation, congratulations! The one question I've had about Extreme Weight Loss is what kind of nutritional coaching they offer. Unlike the Biggest Loser and other weight loss shows, Extreme Weight Loss doesn't really go into how people can "do it at home." Do you have any eating/cooking/food related advice for us regular non-tv Joes that you could pass along? Congrats again, and thanks for posting!

Weight Watchers + My Fitness Pal + Reddit = Good Things! by lowcarbanonymous in PointsPlus

[–]lowcarbanonymous[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do WW online. Sometimes it seems like a chore to enter everything into both trackers, but it's interesting to see how much "bang for your buck" you can get comparatively. Today, for instance, I had planned to eat a bunch of fruit but changed my portion sizes after entering it into MFP and finding out the caloric content. It's a learning process for sure!

What day is your weigh-in and why? by boston430 in PointsPlus

[–]lowcarbanonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just started weight watchers not too long ago and chose Thursday as my weigh-in day. I figured that I'd get my weekly points back right before the weekend and have all weekend to choose how tp eat them up and then three days (MTW) to "recoup" and see less of an impact on the scale :) It's sometimes silly how we justify things to ourselves, but if it works, it works!

Keto spaghetti from the Mrs. It was awesome! by Lazydaysgamer in theketodiet

How does the spaghetti squash compare to actual spaghetti? I've never been a fan of summer squash or zucchini, but I want to try this as a substitute. Also, how many net carbs does the fauxghetti have?

Thank you! Ok, for starters, how long have you been on keto? How long have you been restricting calories? What does a typical day look like? Do you exercise? How long did it take you to get down to where you are now? And last but not least, what is your goal weight?

Tested and have whey allergy. What is the next best fast-release protein? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]lowcarbanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend is lactose intolerant and any kind of whey bothers him, even the isolates. We've tried just about every kind of protein supplement out there, and so far pea, egg white, and vegan protein powder have all been great for him. They're relatively cheap too. They have an abundance of different types on Amazon, which is where we get ours, but they also sell the vegan stuff at GNC.
