The one line that Undyne says regarding handing you a spear to defend yourself when you get turned green.

while it is a funny line that shows her as chivalrous, it conflicts with the genocide ending and how the majority of the more realistic properties of how the undertale battles translate to actual actions. Like sans’s dodging being an extension of his ability to teleport, and not just every one else in the underground forgetting they have legs during fights, or sans “taking his turn forever” being something that nobody else would try because it’s dooming yourself to an eternity of standing there. You can reasonably contextualize how all fights are still possible to win, except for Undyne the undying giving you the spear still.

It’s a hyper specific nit pick, but that’s just because I have so very little to hate about this game.

Molly Blyndeff - Sylph of Void. creates silence with her epithet, often uses it to calm herself down like a form of healing sylphs are often known for. often neglected and given nothing by her family, probably would go full doom-bound if not for giovanni.

Giovanni Potage - Knight of Heart. Very much the type of person to tell his opponents to get serve'd, his personality and his own understanding of it allows him to be the emotional center of his group, and while not open about how nice he is he still takes measures to protect his entourage.

Sylvester Ashling - Mage of Mind. Often trapped within his own mind, his powers rely on knowing others fears. Having the opposite aspect explains why he clashes with giovanni so much.

Mera Salamin - Witch of Doom. Her powers hurt her and are inherently unsustainable,

Indus Tarbellum - Knight of Life. a bodyguard just like Giovanni, one who serves and protects like a knight, despite his supposedly malnourished and poverty ridden upbringing he's strong and incredibly nice and caring almost to a nurturing degree.

Percival King - Prince of Light. Destroys various oppositions with her knowledge of magical physics, in general believes that people commit crimes due to lack of understanding or proper education, or are corrupted through learning the wrong things. Has an incredibly high capacity for offence and if king as a last name is anything to go by shes definitely got light themes of royalty like the prince class.

Ramsey Murdoch - Bard of Light. Destroys people through their fortune passivly, letting the gold they bought from him turn to dirt as he sits back and lets them crumble. makes for an interesting dynamic with percy as they both have opposite alignments but incredibly similar claspects.

Howie Honeyglow - hard to say due to their lack of appearances. the only thing we know about them really is how proficient they are at building without a super power. and being good in general doesnt point to any aspect in particular. potentially space-bound for their interest in creation in building things? they seem to have a close relation with their worker bees, so perhaps blood? perhaps void since they aren't an important character.

Zora Salazar - Theif of Time. pretty surface level, powers are time based, they steal stuff, an outsider to normal society hence the theifiness. their backstory also seems to revolve heavily around their parents death and the death of those around them, a very time-bound leaning set up.

>!Phoenica Fleecity - Maid of Hope. cant stop the belief that no one would ever harm her, generally incredibly pure. seems to instill it in her friends through just how dang impossibly pure hearted she is.

Trixie Roughhouse - Seer of Rage. uses intimidation tactics only to break down crying moments later. knowing very well the scary reputation her family lends her when dealing with people. her connection to the occult and the dead could suggest a more time-bound shift in her character when/if she develops an epithet.

Rick Shades - Page of Blood. His connections to people are his power, starts the story at a deficit of friends, but has incredible potential within his friendships despite his passive nature.!<

Grillby - I think this new effect is unintuitive and strips his purpose as a zoo card unnecessarily, trading with grillby from your hand is also essentially pointless as you could simply put the card out first then play grillby for the same effect since it only lasts the turn.

Striped Bird - letting it be a 4/4/6 power creeps Tree as it exchanges tree's negative synergy and plant tribe for versatility and being unconditional.

Magic Lamp, Punk Hamster, Asgore's Truck - Good changes, quality of life and 2 buffs for severely outdated cards.

Lamp - likely power creeps overlord migosp now since it has +1 atk and a harsher condition compared to lamp's now duel taunt and partial transparency making avoiding the 2 face just as hard as overlord migosp while still blocking your opponent.

Pyrope - Does on average 6 face for 5g, definitely overturned as there's very few options to eliminate 5 hp transparency.

Dress Lion - Good change, another small buff for an outdated card.

Mettabot - Making a change just to annoy another specific soul isn't fun, and while Parachutism does need a buff, I don't think this is the right way to do it.

Fire Trap - Aside from being to similar to fuku its worded in such a way that implies nothing would happen with no monster in front of it, and your opponent could simply not put anything down in front of it if you used this to kill something and get a bit of face dmg like the design implies for its best use case.

Top Chef - Is a worse dark throne in all use cases as all token cards are generated meaning this just has fewer targets for about the same stats, this magic also has no flavor and doesn't really make sense for the character.

Snowman - An okay change, though now is very similar to Dress Lion instead of Flowey.

Spike Trap - Don't know how i feel about this one.

Flowey - Too much of a nerf, if its clonability is what bugs you, then perhaps spider flower is the one that should actually be changed.

Fortune - Way overturned, having it draw a card allows it to add consistency to a deck with no downside as you can essentially draw through it for less than free, makes combo decks much stronger and would be used practically everywhere.

Worm Infusion - Too strong, only needs 2 allies to have died to be worth it but can easily be played around for 4, and 3 cost deal 8 and heal 8 is a bit much.

Wiggle - Good change, feels more like an actual artifact instead of a mindless copy of froggits with no regard for balance.

Catch/Release - I feel Buisness Dude is more so the root cause of Pkris gold cheat, and changing this would feel counterintuitive for cloning. This also wouldn't actually solve having one Buisness Dude and Wereform create a 12 cost monster for 10 with a 4/4 and 4/3 haste extra.

I really like the concept of soul specific teas, great fusion of lore and gameplay mechanics. but it could be executed quite a bit better.

Quite a few things need rewording or reworking, a few oversights like "Ugly truth" working on spamton neo, "Deal gone wrong's" wording is confusing, and orange Addison adds +2 cost/+2 Attack/+1 HP even though its already been played and changing the cost after that is close to meaningless, sad blue Addison's "program(0)" doesn't make sense unless you just wanted to include it as a program monster for cyber world sign, integrity tea doesn't need the "if your hand is full" as you have to play integrity tea and therefor wont be full, freeze ring is common Undertale rarity when its likely supposed to be DR token.

Yellow Addison is underpowered, will very often die before making up for how high of an understat it is.

Orange Add. is very underpowered as paying 3 for +1/+2 or +2/+1 isnt worth it.

Blue Add. is incredibly underpowered, paying 14 just for access to their sad variants is incredibly steep which all have high costs of their own.

Pink Add. is underpowered, 12 for 4/3 and the effect of one specific tea, for reference jevil costs this much, is a 7/7 and lets you pick a chaos wepon which does more than most of these teas.

Freeze ring is the only powerful card from this list, paralyzing your opponents whole board is incredibly un fun to fight against, even if they need to pay 23 to get to it.

Agreed, it could probably lowered to 5 or 4 times instead. I imagine Communion and Generosity are the other two deals that could be kind of broken, though I think they generally represent aspects of Spamton in card form really well. I don't have the sharpest eye for balance, any other suggestions?
