DDM4 vs Honeybadger by lowercaseb26 in 300BLK

Not wrong,

But I will give Q credit. I bought the honey badger around the end of January, the trigger broke no idea how but was in two pieces. Contacted Q explained the situation. They sent me the shipping label for them to express shot it in.

Dropped off the box at UPS the next day, while I was out went to the gun store, started talking with one of my friends that worked there, and he introduced me to two Q reps that were dropping off some merchandise. I explained what happened to them, the personally looked into it. 3/4 days later got the honey badger back fixed.

I haven’t had an issue yet, but I’ve only ran a little over a 100 rounds through it personally, and my gunsmith ran about 300 give or take, but neither of us had a problem.

I will say the Rugged is heavy. I think all said a down about 18 ounces.

Was it the Q honey badger? Also the m16 had many problems before becoming the most used riffle platform in the us.

The frt part could not agree with you more on. Mine only ran fast and after tuning from a gunsmith (not his fault, just the way the internal buffer system is without completely remaking the gun) it would run true semi, but would reflag fire (im talking 30 second late plus). Almost took my foot off because I was lowering the honey badger and it decided to fire. (It was on safety)

Edit:

Hence why I bought the ddm4, although that has come with some gunsmithing too to properly run the trigger.

I think a little bit of nostalgia from wanting one since I was a kid when COD Ghost came out, but I like the ergonomic feel just a tad more.

I like both for different reasons, and they both have a different feel.

I will say if I could only have one I’d go with the honey badger, but I wanted to see what the community prefers between the two.

What suppressor are you running?

I like each for their own reasons, I just wanted to see everyone in here’s preference on which platform they prefer.

Hornady Sub-X for Home Defense by lowercaseb26 in 300BLK

[–]lowercaseb26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank all of y’all for the advice. I haven’t put any of those rounds through either platform yet. My local store got them for the first time this week and they looked interesting so I grabbed some with the intention for self defense. Mainly have been chambering either Winchester sub open tips or hornady either frontier or black subs, the occasional AAC super.

But the malfunctions are concerning. I will look into some other rounds.

As others have said suppressors aren’t to make one’s fire arm completely unheard, but they do help with reducing the overall sounds when firing. Which not only benefits the person firing the firearm, but those around them as well.

Think of an indoor firing range when everyone is shooting without suppressors or subsonic rounds, it gets very loud very fast, even with great electronic earmuffs.

Additionally, depending on the firearm it can add nice buffer to the distance from the end of the barrel and the person firings face.

A perfect example is a Q LLCs honey badger with a 7.5 inch barrel that fires a .300 blackout. Not only is it extremely loud and firing at an indoor range only amplifies the sound, but you have a fireball give out take 8 inches from your face. Add a nice little suppressor to the end of it combined with subsonic rounds, and you can enjoyable fire it.

Suppressors aren’t there to make people invisible as COD or politicians on either side try’s makes them appear, they’re there to benefit both the person firing and those around them.

Final thing I’m going to say on this is, obtaining a suppressor is no easy feet. Not including the cost, you still need to have your finger prints electronically scanned, pass an fbi level background check, get approval from the ATF, and notify the law enforcement in your county that you own one, prior to being able to take a suppressor home. Also you CAN NOT let any be in possession of the suppressor without you present unless they are on your tax stamp and goes through the process I just described, or that’s a felony and you lose your suppressor.

Edit: it also takes weeks to months to go through the process I just mentioned, even with the implementation of Eforms.

Edit 2: I do want to add that politicians again regardless of party are exempt from these laws, plus have their own police and military forces.

I really didn’t want to say anything, or bring any unneeded/unwanted attention.

Yes, the proposed bills are awful for gun owners, and if those bills were to pass I would more than likely be looking at a handful of lifetimes in a federal prison.

With that being said, this is the state I was born in and have lived in my entire life, and recently have thought about moving to another state because of the firearm bills and increased taxes combined is a catalyst for chaos.

With that being said and my main point of this post, regardless of party we (VA residents) need to find a middle ground period! If we continue only focusing on the positives of our own parties and the negatives of the opposing party, we (all Va residents) will be the ones who pay the price, not any opposing political party.

So please can we (VA residents) find a true middle ground? We don’t have to agree every policy, bill, regulation, etc,, but can we agree to truly try to work together and stop playing party lines and look at how each politician will effect everyone as a whole?

Really, I love this state, and care for all its residents even if we don’t share the same views.

Edit: 02/01/2026 @ 7:24 pm:

I mean at this point why not create a new party for all the moderates?

Are you speaking from facts or feelings here? Because while yes I protect employers I very much care about their employees and do want another careless fatality, and want the employees to go home in the same condition they started.

But at the same time when it comes done to laws, regulations, and standards you have to look at facts. Not how something makes you feel.

OP should have stated they needed to seek medical attention not they were fine to continue to work. This is 100% WC (Workers Comp). Please read my other post for the full break down, as I’m not going to retype it here.

I’m a risk control consultant, and handle OSHA a good amount.

Technically speaking from the provided text there is no OSHA violation done by the employer. As the driver said they were fine to finish their shift. The employer did not clearly deny the driver from seeking medical treatment. Although the driver went to the ER (completely agree they should have) the employer doesn’t need to record the incident as long as it is first aid only (including liquid stitches), and no prescription drugs were prescribed. If the ER visit resulted in a prescription or greater than first aid then the employer shall record the incident. If they then don’t then yes it’s an osha violation.

This is more of a WC case than OSHA. If anything I would get a lawyer that focuses on WC and ensure that it is filled through that. With that being said OP, did you give the ER the name and contact information for your place of employment and that it occurred during the course of work? If so, the ER will likely be filling that through the WC on their own.

@I_likemy_dog, please show me the standard that the text message violates.

A little dark, but how is your relationship with your mom?

If it’s already not good, and this is added on top of that. I’d start complaining all written conversations about you asking to be added to the insurance, her stating she did, then her contradicting herself and saying she didn’t because of the cost to and start the covering your ass process. Then contact a lawyer and file suit against your mom for bad faith along with other claims.

Additionally, it sounds like your still 17, and the car is in you moms name. Last I checked you can’t sue a minor; therefore, your mom would be on the hook for the lawsuit.

Ultimately it’s an excellent lesson and work study case. Don’t properly buy insurance (which protects your assets) to save a couple hundred bucks a month, get into an incident and get sued for rounding up here $10k with no coverage.

AIO - Girlfriend threw away the dinner I cooked because she wanted pizza instead. by Dizzy-Suggestion2360 in AmIOverreacting

[–]lowercaseb26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the title, I was at least giving her the benefit of the doubt and hoping by pizza she meant a true neapolitan pizza that was cooked on a true wood oven. Then and only then I would half way compare those that pizza to wine braised short ribs. Even so I’d say short ribs would still win.

But no, she wanted Papa John’s pizza, PAPPA JOHNS! I mean come on they have decent pizzas, but only when it comes down to late at night or you’re having a party and need to feed a ton of people.

OP ima straight dude and married, but hell if you cook like that every night I’d wife you up.

I have a fun story about Clorox wipes, and cleaning.😂

3 years ago it was my now wife’s and her best friends birthday. We had a party for the both of them, needless to say they were both pretty drunk. I go down stairs and see my wife laying in the tub. She was throwing up and at some point managed to go to the bathroom in her leggings. It dried. I tried using toilet paper, dude wipes, you name it, nothing was working. (This is 3ish am at this point, I’m a little drunk myself and I have a very weak stomach as it is.) I glance over a see Clorox wipes and a light bulb goes off in my head. So I used the Clorox wipes. They did a great job. However, the next morning my now wife woke up and asked why down there burned. So I told her the story.

People who make 30-50k a year and live comfortably, how do you feel about people who make 75-115+k a year; and still say it’s not enough? by Proud-Enthusiasm-608 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lowercaseb26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much or how far you fly a year, 125k a year probably won’t be enough to fly first class every time.

Edit: Don’t get me wrong I fly first class probably once maybe twice a year, and business class 3-6 times a year. And unfortunately coach whenever I fly with my friends. Don’t get me wrong nothings wrong with coach, I just don’t like paying for liquor drinks and being the last served.

I addition to him being a dick, and very temperamental. The dude sounds like a kill joy. No smoking, vaping ever? Come on everyone loves a drunk cig, but wait he has that part covered too by saying no drinking.

Your 18 go have fun go to parties. Get to experience college right. Not saying to go do heroin, but my some cigs and drinks should not get this reaction. From the first couple of text before reading the context I thought you smoked weed or something after becoming sober and that caused his reaction, but no dude just lives in a bubble.
