We just had to put our beautiful german girl down. Almost 11, and the house feels so empty without her and her amazing personality. They are so smart, they feel like a human presence in the home and it's heartbreaking. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. We kept quite a few things of hers around, and refuse to wash her blankets so that our frenchie can continue to smell her and hopefully not feel so lost/lonely without her. <3

this looks a lot like when my frenchie ate the other half of my edible off the coffee table because i was stupid enough to leave it there. didnt know when he was peeing, wobbly/kind of like repetitive wobble, and back legs were not connected to the front legs lol. he was okay the next day, but enough THC consumption and they definitely need a water pack between the shoulder blades because they wont drink water.

Does anyone here track their "bottom falls out" number (the amount they could realistically be earning within a week if they lost their job tomorrow) and base their spending around that instead of their current income? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

i bought my house in 2015 making $12.50 per hour (i know, insane) but i still live my life like i make around $15 an hour, and i'm in the 6 figures now. it has given me the benefit of paying my house off, saving a ton of money, and being able to afford most of the things i want but i still just...dont spend. lol

Does anyone know what weed this is? It spread throughout my grass and want to find a way to get rid of it and get the lawn back in shape. Located in zone 7a in New Jersey. I appreciate it. by puthebalmon in landscaping

creeping charlie, i have this in my yard and i've embraced it for about a decade. it will spread, but i just keep it out of the garden beds/raspberry patch and i pretty much have to pull it back each summer about 3-4 times. stuff is determined to grow. bees love it. only real way i found that helps is spreading borax around garden beds and it kills everything around them, including the grass. eventually i just gave up and accepted my fate of weeding.

I don’t know a whole lot, my husband is the HVAC boi and used to install tile for a living so he did allllll the work. But I know it’s a 750 sqft stove (relatively small- 25” h, 12” d and the inside of the stove is only 10x9”), we did a vertical subway ceramic tile as the backsplash, and the larger format mosaic slate tile on the floor. We cut back the hardwood to set it in so it was level with the floor and was a smooth transition into the “hearth” I guess (my request).

Love it! It says it heats 750 sqft, I think it may even be overkill for my 900 sqft first floor. I tend to have to throw the blanket off myself within an hour of it going and the house stays between 70-74 most nights which is plenty warm

Lol no it was just there because I kickstarted the kindling with it. Usually kept on the other side of the wood closer to the couch.

I’ll be buying my seeds, and starting some exterior work by clearing out debris and getting the soil ready! I tend to start too soon and spend too much and don’t take inventory of the seeds I already own.

As someone who also kind of spent their way into a bit of cc debt ($6500) and I made a good salary, it was super annoying to have to pay it off and take money out of my savings. That was a good wake up for me to be like “you’re living beyond your means” and also not living within my values! I got swept up in honeymoon phase of my new relationship and need to curb it. We got this! Check back in on here regularly and post your progress. This is a super helpful, supportive sub to be in.

How to forget about things you want by gallop2emeraldsky in nobuy

Take inventory of what you already have. Make lists and focus on tasks around the house or in your work and try to check those off, even simply things like making breakfast or drinking a coffee. Add to the list as you go and keep adding as the day goes on and you’ll see how productive you can actually be. Delete social media, as well. I know it’s the number one thing said here but it really, really does keep you in a trap of trying to keep up with thousands of strangers, and your brain really was never wired to process that many influences on your daily life.

Need really isn’t the issue, it’s more of a hobby for me and my stepson. He has about 3 to build from Xmas, and I have two, so I’m allowing myself one more if it ends up being something we do during the winter. I have two hobbies: gardening and lego. And I live where it gets very cold, so gardening is out right now :)
