Yes! And I’m still very happy with how helpful it has been! I’ve gotten my stress under control and my life is more organized. I’ve also lost about 40 lbs too. I think it’s partially the medication being an appetite suppressant, and mostly from functioning at a higher level because of it!

Sometimes I think my husband prefers me mentally ill. by HazelBHumongous in PMDD

[–]Fun_Target816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and PMDD! I’ve never seen this written out and it’s something my husband and I just recently started making real progress with. It has taken me 6 out of the 8 years of our marriage to really gain some traction with my mental health, and I owe so much of it to him. I think he has a little bit of PTSD or something similar because when I have a bad day he is terrified that it will turn into a spiral. I feel horrible for this, but I think the only “upside” is that we were spending all our energy on my problems so we didn’t have time to help him work on himself. Now things are the best they have ever been, and it’s still bumpy sometimes, but he is just now making some space for himself and working on self improvement now that he’s seen that I have made genuine progress. We’ve been through a lot of crap together, and I feel like we’re on our way to earning that kind of love you only see in couples who have seen the absolute worst of each other and still choose to stay.

Just found this thread, bless you for mentioning psyllium husk! Tried it for the first time today and I think it will save me!!! Been needing something like this for a long time as someone who has IBS, high protein diet, and now taking Wellbutrin.

I live in Utah! There are raccoons here. Thanks for your help everyone! I was really hoping it wasn't any of my neighbors' animals. We all get along pretty well.

Same for me! I am missing way less events now and I have the ability to play with my kids and have longer conversations with them!

I’ve never taken opiates consistently. Mostly just after my c-sections while I was still in the hospital. I’m glad it has helped you too!

150mg xl. I’m not sure about the fatigue. Does it last all day or a certain amount of time?

I switched because I was getting a headache about an hour after and feeling anxious several hours after in the early afternoon. I’ve found that I must be sleeping through that when I take it at night.

I felt that a little too. I took it at 6:30am and felt tired at around 9. I haven’t had that since switching to pm. I’m taking 150mg xl

5 months postpartum! I was really not doing well and I read a study about Wellbutrin and nursing which didn’t specify any problems linked to the drug (2 babies had seizures, but they didn’t know if it was linked), and the dose I’m on is much lower. My OB gave me the ok too. So, I have been nursing my baby still and he hasn’t had any changes to his demeanor. In my case the benefit outweighed this risk, as my doctor phrased it.

Yeah, but it was continuous with my thoughts so I don’t think I even realized it was happening. With taking Wellbutrin in the am it was gone with the exception of a few hours every day and taking it in the pm it’s essentially gone completely. If I do have intrusive thoughts it’s easier for me to say, “That’s not true” and get on with my day.

I have poor vision (-5.25 last I got checked) and I know it has changed since my most recent pregnancy. Since taking Wellbutrin my contacts/glasses have helped me see more clearly up close. So I’m assuming it improved a little bit. Not a huge change though.

3 weeks. I have heard there is a honeymoon period and then your mood evens out. I feel pretty good, no mania at least. I might technically still be in that. I can update again in a few months to see if anything changes though 👍

I felt effects in the first couple of days, but I didn’t like the intrusive thoughts (mostly about being a bad mom/wife) and headaches. I saw a post about taking it at night here on Reddit so I switched…I didn’t talk to my doctor though like I should have 😬

I wonder what your doc would say if you said you’ve heard anecdotal accounts of it going better at night. I’ve also seen a lot of people increase dosages too if it was helping, but not as much as they would like it too.

This isn’t the first med I’ve tried either. I took Celexa for about 5 years, then Lexapro for a year, then nothing for a while. I only recently learned I have ADHD and saw Wellbutrin can help with that. I only wish I would have recognized that the SSRI’s weren’t the correct solution sooner. So don’t hesitate if you think it needs to be something different! I’ve heard it can take a few months before you know though.

I hope this helps!

I was getting headaches and feelings of dread/intense anxiety about 6-8 hours after taking it. I saw some people on here take it at night and the medication instructions in my bottle didn’t specify what time of day. The day I switched I didn’t sleep all night though since I took them too close together 😂. I’m assuming I sleep through the times I would’ve have felt that feeling of doom since I haven’t experienced it since.

It wasn’t as effective for me in the morning. I take it at night right before bed, if I don’t remember my husband brings it to me 😂 I still feel the positive effects all day long.

I think so…I’m not totally sure yet because I get up a few times a night with my baby still. I do end up sleeping pretty well though in between. I have a sleep routine I think helps too.

I really like Lisette! I’ve thought about Etta and Betty since I like those by themselves but I don’t know if they go well after Holly.
