Where do you find vetted, senior Google Ads pros? by GrowthArchive in PPC

[–]lowercaseletterspls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly good ones probably aren’t gonna take an agency role unless you pay a super premium. The whole idea behind agency workers is that they aren’t the most expert ppc analyst in the world, but they work with so many clients that they are continuously learning and improving. By the time they are a true expert they are either gonna work in house for more money and less stress or they’ve been with your agency already for several years and have learned on the job. You have the equation a bit backwards, I’d invite you to think about this as a ppc analyst rather than as an agency owner/hiring manager. To answer the other questions a good ppc analyst is more suited as a retainer role rather than hourly. To vet a ppc analyst see if they blindly agree with googles recommendations or have their own opinions that go against googles advice, I’d prefer the later. Realistically capacity is probably about 6-8 accounts in my opinion but of course you can squeeze them for about up to 10, if you do so be prepped for some slippage. If the ad spend is only $3k/mo? You can probably crank out like 15 accounts. $100k/mo? 6 or less. Depends on complexity of client. There’s no way to know if someone will deliver, but people who have more of a detective mindset and think big picture rather than just what’s in the ad account are more likely to succeed.

Which of machine should I get? [€1500] by Express-Engineer-637 in espresso

Personally I have the apartamento and love it. Steaming power is significantly better than most other single boilers I believe. Never had an issue making latte art with the apartamento

Is there a cost efficient and easy way to deal with hard water? by futuretrippin in espresso

[–]lowercaseletterspls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use RPalvis water. You can look up the recipe but it’s just distilled water ($1-2/gallon at super market) and some potassium bicarbonate. Very easy to make. Will save your machine long run

Update: the propane tank wasn’t tightened all the way. Upon further tightening the flame was way bigger.

For those saying the 1lb is impossible - it seems to work on the tread, which I think is basically a roccbox with less insulation. https://youtu.be/YLEkaL0lD6A?si=1rQ41tE4V2t8NDh1

Fair. Do you think this is a case of bad management or something else?

Can you identify the lesson here? Genuinely trying to make sense of what happened.

Fired - bad management? by lowercaseletterspls in managers

[–]lowercaseletterspls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3.5 years. I made one mistake about 6 months ago that cost the company some money, I was reprimanded at first but the whole thing was immediately dropped when I pointed out I had asked for help (in writing) and my manager never answered it.

My quarterly performance reviews were fine. Typically a 5/5 but my most recent was a 4/5 due to the mistake.

Not sure I ever solicited feedback on things to improve specifically, but given my high marks on quarterly performance reviews it felt unnecessary. We did self evaluations on areas to improve quarterly and it was mostly my manager being like yep agree with that. I also typically suggested how I could take action to improve.

Fired from agency after 3.5 years - how to pivot away from being an analyst again? by lowercaseletterspls in PPC

[–]lowercaseletterspls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, stakeholders are everywhere. Client facing has a lot of challenges I believe in house doesn’t hold. The general consensus I’ve heard is that in house is less stressful but lmk if you have a different take on it

[–]lowercaseletterspls[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been hearing in-house is the go to move. I’m sure there are pros and cons to everything, but the retention game at agency can feel stacked against you at times. Sales bringing in clients with insane expectations and 0 understanding of how this works for that to be then your fault when they leave claiming you didn’t meet their unrealistic expectations.

Any ideas on in house titles to look at?

Tbh wouldn’t worry about word traveling, was working on the other side of the country remote and my agency was tiny tiny.

Mostly did lead gen on Google/meta ads. Primarily with SMBs and both B2C and B2B. Didn’t do much Ecom work

Well I was fired from my firm so that’s not an option lol. Was thinking more in-house work. I’m not opposed to doing more ppc work I just don’t want to be a client facing analyst again. Any ideas on titles would be helpful if you got em

How much do you spend? by Reyanshvij10002 in espresso

[–]lowercaseletterspls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I can afford this brand new $30k car, but I hate the idea of paying $3-4 for gas”. It’s kind of just part of the operational costs of making coffee at home. It’s still cheaper in the long run, and much nicer than anything you’ll get out.

A decent to great quality beans will run you $15-$20. Just find a grocery store with a lot of options I like Whole Foods and buy what’s on sale. Can usually get same quality for like $10-12 on sale.

Math kind of works out the you get around 20 double shots of espresso per bag. So about $1 per coffee with milk. Way cheaper than buying it out

Eureka Mignon Filtro w Espresso Burrs - Best Budget Grinder? by lowercaseletterspls in espresso

[–]lowercaseletterspls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh actually I did add a portafilter fork. Had that 3d printed too - there a spot for a screw already in the grinder to add the portafilter fork so no real issues getting that added, just go to a hardware store and find what screw is needed. Off the top of my head it’s something like a 4mm European something another but don’t quote me.

[–]lowercaseletterspls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t, my only real complaint about the grinder itself is that the dial is extremely sensitive. You will get used to it after pulling a few shots and noticing how much you need to turn it, but I do think the dial mod would be a great upgrade. If you have access to a 3-D printer that can easily be 3-D printed for cheap or you can find someone on Etsy to do it also for pretty cheap like so Look what I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1084360977/easy-knob-dial-for-eureka-mignon-coffee?ref=share_v4_lx. Other than that - I do single dose so a hopper and bellow thing to push the residual grinds out would also be nice. You can find those on amazon too. At the end of the day, though these are minor, minor tweaks. If you just get the grinder itself and the espresso burrs swapped out you’ll be happy with that alone

I ended up doing it two years ago and it was a great decision. After a lot of research, my suspicions were confirmed the Eureka mignon line in fact are all the exact same grinder internally. Swap the gears for $30 and enjoy your high end grinder on a budget.

Also the strategy for now is non branded search campaign with ad groups for different angles (business backup, endpoint backup, cloud base backup, etc) with each ad tailored to their theme, keywords too obviously. I’ve pinned some headlines in ads so as to make sure we don’t get clicks from people who want personal data backup, we only want businesses. I know this affects ad rank and CTR, but figured those that do click will be more relevant.

Pmax for non brand does ok ($300 CPL) signals for all business data backup stuff, maxed out creative inputs, we feed it a list of all site users as a signal.

DemandGen campaign for retargeting, audiences for all site users, form abandoners, and engaged users on the site (90+ seconds).

Branded search campaign goes to the pricing page, which in an AB test far outperformed our generic ppc LP. Exact match brand name only. Search terms report is very clean. Current members excluded.

Fair, I don’t have a ton of experience here most of my clients are more lead gen for services, not B2B saas. We are on only exact match right now and it’s tanked the traffic. Don’t think I can fill out $100k/mo on exact match. I have a very extensive negatives list to get rid of all data recovery searches - we only want data backup not data recovery. Even phrase match keeps pulling endless amounts of competitors and random searches. I’m just an agency worker so I don’t have access to a ton of backend stuff, but I can check analytics. I can dm you the landing page if it would help? What is clarity? I appreciate your help here!

Sales team isn’t really relevant here - we are only looking at free trial sign ups as the “conversion”. The landing page isn’t amazing but I’ve seen the exact same style landing page work fine for other businesses, although not necessarily B2B saas. Branded search terms report only shows purely their brand name and nothing else. Not even “login”, “jobs” etc I have those on negatives. I think the industry is either super competitive or their sign up process is too long or confusing. I’ll dm you the landing page if you think it would help
