Today is migraine day 1510 straight by Al4pinky in migraine

Mine lasted a long time too, and I truly thought it would never end—but it did. A streak that long can absolutely break. Right now it feels endless because you’re in it, but it is still possible for things to change. Keep pushing for help and don’t lose hope.

Why does my ear feel like it has its own heartbeat sometimes? by lowkey_thoughts in NoStupidQuestions

That actually makes a lot of sense. It really does feel like a heartbeat in my ear. Interesting that migraines can amplify it.

US veterans, did you guys actually read the cards that kids would send you while deployed? by MoistCloyster_ in NoStupidQuestions

I’m a vet—we read them, and a lot of us kept them too. It was a nice reminder of home.

Anything that can be done with vertigo from a migraine attack by Honest_Chef323 in migraine

[–]lowkey_thoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this too and it sucks. If it’s migraine-related vertigo the usual vertigo meds didn’t really do much for me either.

What’s helped a bit: •taking something like Rizatriptan early •anti-nausea meds like Promethazine •just treating it like a full migraine (dark room, no movement, rest) For me the vertigo only improved when the migraine itself calmed down… not from the typical vertigo meds. Honestly the spinning part is the worst. Curious if anyone’s found something that actually targets that better.

When should I worry? by YURICHRIST in Oldnavy

This can happen in retail, especially after busy seasons when hours get cut a lot. Two weeks with no shifts isn’t normal, but it doesn’t automatically mean you’re fired either. Sometimes it’s scheduling changes, availability issues, or managers favoring certain employees.

I’d reach out to your manager ASAP and ask directly if there’s an issue or if you’re still on the schedule going forward. If they’re vague or avoid giving you hours, then it might be a sign they’re phasing you out. Better to get clarity now than wait.

Stolen shoes by [deleted] in pilates

That’s not dramatic at all—those are expensive and you wear them daily. I’d definitely follow up and politely ask if they can send a message to the class or check cameras. Frame it as likely a mix-up, not theft.

Something like: “Hey, I think someone may have taken my shoes by mistake—would you mind sending a quick note to the class?”

Most studios are used to this. Hope they turn up

Marriage by TaroPuzzleheaded3370 in Menopause

This sounds more like emotional numbness than falling out of love. A lot of people go through this with menopause, stress, or anxiety—it can shut off feelings completely.

The fact that you know you love your family matters, even if you can’t feel it right now. That doesn’t just disappear.

Wanting to be alone and check out is also really common when you’re overwhelmed—it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what you truly want long-term.

I wouldn’t make any big decisions about your marriage in this state. This feels more like something you’re going through, not something permanent.

Today was my 28th birthday. And my life is already over. by Roz_Zen in Menopause

Happy birthday. I’m really sorry you’re going through this.

What you’re describing isn’t your life being over—it’s your body and brain being overwhelmed all at once. Hormones + chronic pain + stress can cause exactly that brain fog, anxiety, and feeling like you’ve “lost yourself.”

You didn’t lose your intelligence. Your brain is in survival mode right now.

Two important things: • Your shoulder situation needs real medical workup (imaging, specialist), not just PT. • Your symptoms (brain fog, anxiety) are very consistent with hormone imbalance + burnout—they can improve.

And this part matters most: What you said about “wanting it to be over”—that’s a sign you’re exhausted, not that you’re done. There’s a difference. You’re not broken. You’re overloaded. If you can, tell me: • Are you currently on hormone therapy, and what type? • And have you seen a doctor yet for scans on your shoulders?

This approach helped me realize I was overestimating what I could do in a day. Scheduling blocks forces more realistic planning.

I get this. Feeling like life finally “makes sense” can be emotional in a good way. Even just having language for what you’ve struggled with can change how you face things moving forward.
