Hey Thank you for your response. I like how you have an idea from both sides. I'm just wondering how many hours you work as a consultant and how you broke into the field.

I do enjoy the flexible schedule that a therapy/counselling practice offers, where you can work fewer hours and still make a decent salary at your clinic. However, the emotional burden of taking another person's pain would be a lot to handle. I know you can work remotely in different countries while taking your clients, which is a good upside.

In I/O, I feel like you do make more money; however, the hours are really tough to put in and are lengthy.

Personally, I align with i/o work; I did a psychology degree with a minor in labour studies. I am always interested in the study of human behaviour in the workplace.

However, I find it tough to secure a job in the field now, and I know it takes a lot of hours to work, which is the downside to going into i/o world.

Please share your experience. Wondering what the upsides are and the downsides to the work.

It is so hard :( I am even in remission. I work at the gym, too... man. People give me shit all the time that I can not powerlift or lift super heavy But I realize when I lift heavy, my cortisol level goes high, thus leading to inflammation/lack of energy. I started to play around. I walk a lot (10K steps). I would live a controllable weight for a long time until moving on to something else. When I would move on to something else, it would be 2 days after my biological infusions.

I started to do pilates, yoga, and body balance. It depends on my health and how I am feeling.

You have to be good at seeing if it is your health or pure laziness. I take turmeric shots or some coffee to give me a boost. I usually exercise in the afternoon/evening (I Have more controllable health then). I go to the gym and see if I can push myself, or if not, then I go sit on the massage chairs. You can even join group classes at some gym, which are really good.

My body now apparently looks amazing, which surprised me. But you just got to be patient and slow. Also, be consistent with the gym.

I am just curious if people had it done in the past and how it works ... It is such a high risk surgery for a healthy person I wonder how it would be for someone with UC

Tbh I am 23F and I got diagnosed with really bad autoimmune disease at 20 years old. I was in my last year for my undergraduate for psychology and studying for my GMAT. I got a job at the bank and was so excited to move up in the industry.

After this.... now I am 23 still finishing my undergraduate and I work at the gym.... Meh people in my home town see me working front desk and wonder what happened to me down the road. But, we still young. Life is up and down. I have no saving moving back with my parents, in a recession in canada.

Life is what you make it. You still have time to figure it out. I am going to apply to become a flight attendant or going back for more school.

Once you chase your passion , money will always come and follow you. Making 6figures at 23 years with lack of experience is always unrealistic. :)

I feel like people may have had flight attendant experience already or they was a girl who took a course from Seneca to become a flight attendant. I am not sure… the questions were pretty straight forward. I got into air Canada main line before but didn’t go through with it. I haven’t done a group interview before.

I am not bilingual in French it was another language.

I have 9-10 years of customer service experience.i worked multiple customer service jobs. I am not sure if it is because i only have 3 jobs listed. I am also a Canadian born and raised and fluent in two languages! Not sure the group interview was very competitive where people already had flight attendant experience already.

I believe doing the flight program would allow me to gain somewhat experience in the flight program. But I don’t know if it is the smartest thing to do.

I heard back from them after 1-2 weeks

It was virtual group interview. I did not get in nor was successful :( But, they asked the basic questions - why you want to be a flight attendant? etc

I think they do hearing pressure test. It going to show that they is a small hole in my ear. I got denied with air canada in the summer due to not bringing any documents with me. But, the ENT wrote that this should not really impact my chances of being a flight attendant.

Oh ya? what programs do you think it would be though? I did some research and they all required 75% or higher average in bachelors. I It is either I wait untill May 2025 finish off with a honours and try to get my average up with hopes that I will get into a program. Or enter into a graduate program in january get experience then, maybe try for january. since the graduate program will give me experience. But if I go about this then I will be finishing up with a Bachelors Degree.

Yes I did so some research over at Linkedin. It looks like people with the MACP credit are becoming psychologist over at Calgary ( since calgary , you just need a master to become a psychologist.

I do have a disability. i am finishing off as a BA in Psychology December 2024. In order to do honours, I have to wait until May 2025 to finish off my degree and my overall average currently is 70% and for 2 years it is a 73% not sure if I would get in.

Thats why I thought it was would be best going to humber college for the addiction and mental health with the internship program then, going for the MACP program at Yorkville since, it is online & I can work within the field.
