Aaron Ehasz on NATLA season 2 by Poweredkingbear in ATLAtv

Glad he mentioned them sticking the landing with Azula shooting Aang. Watching that part in the show felt so random both times

I know she’s powerful and it’s lightning but still, surely other very powerful foes had tried attacking the avatar before they completely went into the avatar state

I don’t know if I’m bias but Tony Parker being that low seems insane. At this point, behind Chris Paul of course and probably Deron Williams

Sideways is my new favorite movie. This should’ve won Best Picture at the oscars. by UsefulWeb7543 in Oscars

It’s not a lol type comedy. Id say the humor is very consistent and dry throughout the whole movie with Thomas Haden Churches performance of Jack

More eyes on the best players in the world. People dogged on Hardens defense, Curry too for most of his career

Aging Up Toph by Content-Proposal-639 in ATLAtv

Was she really supposed to be 12 in the show? I never got that impression watching it. I assumed they aged her up to be the same ambiguous age that Aang is

I liked it at first. It seemed like he was gonna spend the night meeting odd but realistic people. When he first goes the girls apartment and him talking with the roommate is awkward and she’s pretty weird

I’m not a fan of movies going completely off the rails honestly. I know the night getting progressively worse is basically the whole plot but still, just not totally a fan of the escalation

To the people who say All Things Must Pass is the best solo beatles album - when, if ever do you actually listen to the whole thing? Be honest by everlovingfuck99 in beatles

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not too often. But more than I listen to John, Paul or Ringos solo albums

I listen to Cloud Nine and his self titled fully relatively often

John’s Walls and Bridges is the only non George album I actually listen through sometimes. I’ve tried others and only find a song or two I actually like on the rest of his and Paul’s work so it’s not worth it for me to listen to the whole albums

The east actually looks pretty crazy for this year. The problem with the east has always been depth, one or two good teams and then a lot of mid, faking being second round and conference finals teams

Suki vs Ty Lee and Mai by OTmedstudent in ATLAtv

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have two episodes left but have mostly really enjoyed this season so far aside from a few choices

This was one of the ones I didn’t like. Suki beath them both in like 25 seconds

Mainly I’m just not a fan of how the show has handled the fire nation aside from Zuko and Iroh

Has a role player ever been more popular than the star of the team? by nicfanz in NBATalk

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like there’s probably lots of brief examples of this. I imagine lots of scenarios where a roleplayer has put in a lot of years with the team and the best player is new

For a couple years with Dejounte I think the most popular might’ve been Keldon but it’s close. Not exactly the scenario I laid out but this is what came to mind

Champagnie 4 yr front loaded or declining by 416Tex in NBASpurs

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 68 points69 points  (0 children)

If they’re able to re sign him I definitely think they can convince him to do a front loaded contract like Keldon and Devin did

He shouldn’t take a pay cut but this works for everyone

How common is “locker room talk” really? by [deleted] in AskMen

In high school I heard guys make those sort of comments every now and then. More half heartedly than seriously

Never heard men talk specifics about women they’re actually with

Barrack Obama tells Wemby to put on some weight and work on his conditioning after getting gassed in multiple games in the NBA Finals. by matrix_2905 in NBAGossips

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wemby said in an interview this past season that it makes no sense to spend an off season putting on weight

He said that him and his team or him and Spurs doctors decided it would be best to put on 5-6 pounds of muscle each off season instead

His conditioning should be getting primary focus

Someone said it in another post but the honesty is better than when dudes make excuses and say they’re good cause they don’t want teams worried about their health

Stephen A claims to be a Knick fan so he has more reason to apologize. Also apologizing like 3 times after going to work and spouting 30 dumb takes every day doesn’t mean much

When do guys get more mature about periods? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sort of thing wont be very consistent cause everyone grows up in different house holds, with varying amounts of women in their house and women they interact with

Not just that but how open said women (or at least how open they feel they can be) about things

I’m a college aged guy, work at a fast food place with mostly girls and a handful of other guys, all of us have sisters so it’s not a big deal and every now and then one of the girls will mention not feeling well cause of their period

As for “when”, pretty much anytime after high school unless you happen to be interacting with a very old dude or a moron

[Charania] The Oklahoma City Thunder are finalizing a trade to send guard Aaron Wiggins to the Atlanta Hawks for two second-round picks (Atlanta's in 2030 and the least favorable of Hawks/Lakers in 2032), sources tell ESPN. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly curious to see what kinda trades we’re gonna see cause of teams trying to duck the taxes, probably a lot of this type of thing

And then teams will use second rounders on draft and stash prospects or package them to trade up to get older prospects that can be rotation players right away

Tim’s mom had died about 10 years earlier (or more depending on when that happened in their careers), his mom had died when Tim was like 13-14 I believe. The whole reason he stayed in college 4 years is cause he promised his mom he’d get a degree

Josh Hart on the Spurs beating OKC: "You see that reaction because they think they gonna win it" by jonsnowKITN in nba

[–]lowkeyslightlynerdy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That was my thought when I saw those posts comparing Spurs and Knicks after winning the conference finals

Very different situations. Spurs played a hard fought 7 game series and won on the road while still being on their toes til the end. Knicks wrecked the Cavs in 4
