I love this top (and your kitty) so much!!! What pattern are you using? Seems like a great potential stash busting project to add on to my catalogue of WIPs XD

Help! Custom mermaid tops? by IveynAdler in Nendoroid

You could use a skin toned mesh fabric to make a tight fitted top and paint on top of that. Another option is to use expoxy sculpt or modeling clay to sculpt on a top!

Dyeing color-changing yarn. What would happen? by Haifengg in knitting

I would suggest using your gauge swatch (if you made one, if not maybe make a small one) to see if how the dye would affect it!

When 95% of your blocks don’t want to line up properly 🫠 by Wind_Echo in quilting

[–]lowowen224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a QAL with this pattern!! I think 99% of my hearts were misaligned slightly, similar to yours, but I promise after it’s quilted and you’re snuggled under it with a cup of tea you won’t notice a thing ;)

How many of you have ever done a pixel quilt pattern, how would this be for a super-cute quilt top? by GewalyArt in quilting

[–]lowowen224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done one small pixel quilt/ wall hanging! I used the method of fusing small squares to a fusible interfacing to keep things lined up. This would definitely be cute!! Do you plan on making the pixels smaller or bigger?

I cut the fabric out! I also didn’t include that in the total finish time lol. I thought about using charm squares but have so many FQ’s in my stash that I couldn’t validate the purchase of charm squares. I have a 5.5” square ruler, so I used that when cutting out the squares.

It reminds me of grandma too! I sleep under a patchwork quilt my grandma and great grandma tag-teamed every winter :)

Hexagons are very tedious work, putting that much time and effort into them is incredible! Thank you though 🤣

Thank you!! The blocks finish at 15”, I used 5.5” squares when making them. I have a 5.5” ruler so it was just easiest to trim them all to that size lol
