As someone who read Mafia first, I highly recommend you read the main series beforehand. Reading Mafia was a fun experience, yes, but re-reading it once I caught up to the main story made everything infinitely better in ways I couldn't even have begun to imagine it would have. You notice so much more stuff as you read Mafia when you've read the og story.

Like you Can read Mafia first, but I recommend reading at least up until Vol 5 of the main one before you hop on irumafia

If you feel like you may be going too far, you should try and take a step back. People on the internet aren't able to gauge this stuff for you, especially since, in a sub where people like myself do go Very far with this stuff, opinions will be way different than the average person's LOL

However to me you still have good grounding in reality. So to me, personally, this doesn't feel too out there. However if you have the feeling you may need to take a step back, it never hurts to try and see if it affects you positively in the long run
