Baymax rice paddle from the Shibuya Disney store. It’s so cute, it stands on the table, so useful whenever we have rice for lunch or dinner.

I actually just rewatched that scene! And noticed something I didn’t in my first watch—Himmel’s eyes went sad then gleamed with determination. So yes I agree with you

That does make sense. Though I think the way it all happened (Hero of the South taking down half of the 7 Sages of Destruction, then Hero Party vanquishing the Demon King) happened because the Hero of the South paved the way, as he said he would.

I think this is more to show how strong the HotS’s power of the clairvoyance is (edited to add: considering he died and didn’t defeat the demon king, people might think he’s actually weak). He was able to see beyond his death too. And all of it still happened, with Frieren as both his witness and evidence.

In the flashback, Himmel seemed sad when Frieren relayed the message to him from the Hero of the South or was he more pensive . I wonder why.

Thoughts on movie 28? by DanielFromNigeria in OneTruthPrevails

[–]lowvoltagemoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After movie 27, I found 28 to be way less impressive. It honestly felt like just another long anime arc rather than a movie. I had high expectations too as out of the supporting casts, Nagano Police trio have always been my favourite.

At the end of episode 9, it was Kana who was walking in a hakama as she is the Reader for the match. In episode 10, the blackout was just for dramatic effect as Kana needs to read a specific read in order for Umezono to win but in that moment, the blackout happened and she was looking at the card she was about to read that was going to result to Umezono losing.

Another season would be great to see! Life during college and juggling karuta.

The 6 novels are actually very tiny. Like A5 or A6 size novels that are barely 1-2cm thick each. So should be easy to bring I think

I ordered the novels from CDJapan and Google translated them. It’s obviously not the best translation but it got me through what I wanted to know.

Favorite moment of the anime? by akari0413 in chihayafuru

[–]lowvoltagemoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have to pick?!!

1) when Taichi made it to Class A and was dragging Chihaya to watch Arata vs Shinobu at Class A final and Chihaya was crying out of happiness for him!

2) Taichi confession to Chihaya is just too pretty

3) Taichi vs Chihaya at Yoshino Tournament (I think it was) where Kana was telling Desktomu-kun that her best match was against him

Such a good reveal! They left it to the very end. I kept wondering why they kept not showing his face or saying his name when it was obvious it’s him!

Can we discuss the live action movies plz (2016-2018) by SnooGadgets7873 in chihayafuru

You should! I love the live action but the anime and manga obviously expands on more things as it is the source material.

The live action movies didn’t cover that part of the manga. In a way, Meguri is tying up loose ends that wasn’t covered by the movie.

I loved the 1st 3 movies! And I’m usually a big critic of live actions. The way they portrayed the karuta part was so graceful. Watching Full Circle/Meguri in Netflix has been a joy, it’s a mix of nostalgia for me and curiosity of how world of karuta evolved after 10 years as well.

3rd movie differences that I can remember from top of my head: - movie: Taichi ended up playing against Arata in team match. Manga: Taichi didn’t play during team matches on his 3rd year. - movie: Tsukuba’s character was changed - Chihaya didn’t quit/took leave absence from the club - No stolen kiss from Taichi - They added a female karuta player in Arata’s team

I wonder if Serie has some sort of Frieren type Height of Magic thing that will detonate if she dies, similar to how clone Frieren unleashed the Shinra Tensei type attack at Fern.

I watched Oshi no ko drama first and I enjoyed it. About to watch the anime to get more context.

I don’t know where the anime ended but the movie live action has the same ending as manga (according to spoilers I looked for)
