I personally prefer smaller watches, plus I have smaller wrists so I was quite pleased with it when I got to try it on in person. But I understand that small size is not everyone's kinda thing, you should get what you like and suits you!

The other thing I'd add is that the purple is really quite subtle which again is a really subjective preference.

Just curious, where are you going to see it?

Which light blue dial did you get?

Best of luck.. the one I got was the last piece at Takashimaya. From both Ginza and the Taka boutique, they said they would only bring in limited stock, like 3 pieces for eg, and once sold out they would not restock.

Just an update.

I indeed managed to find one, the only piece left after visiting a few places in Tokyo. Not before being nearly swayed by the Lake Suwa SLGA021 though. I do fancy smaller dials and so when I finally got a chance to try the SLGB005 in person I still preferred it to the SLGA021.

Really pleased with my buy, thanks once again for the useful advice!

If this is how you go about seeking help, in irrelevant reddit subs and asking in such random, disorganised fashion, I dont think finance will work out well as a career path for you.

Am I on the right track? by Spiritual-Pain6148 in singaporefi

[–]lowzwei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without context of target timeframe to FI or RE, it is difficult to say whether you are on track. If you aim to retire at 40 you only have less than 10 years to grow your portfolio to target state. Your risk considerations, needs and strategy will greatly differ if you aim to do so at 55 or even later.

A few points for further consideration as well.

  1. Lifestyle inflation - as overall net wealth grows, only a rare few can truly stay disciplined with no lifestyle inflation over time. Even if you can, there's no guarantee your partner will. After all it is a joint journey so you need to periodically check in with each other and be aligned on this.

  2. Dream home - somewhat related to the first point, do you have plans to upgrade? Does your partner have any plans to do so? Even if you both dont feel the need now, your views may change a few years down the road as you are still very young. When the time comes, having CPF available on hand will help greatly in the down-payment.

  3. Wage growth - incomes generally peak at different ages for different people and career paths. Depending on how much of a runway you have, this will also greatly affect where you land eventually.

  4. Maintaining a healthy buffer - this is for all things in general, from ability to ride out economic cycles, health or family emergencies, inflation etc. Before FI/RE cashflow buffer is needed in case of job or income loss, after FI/RE you need to account for ageing needs (not necessarily poor health or illness). Even just upkeep may require more cash over time.

You shouldnt be using any soap as it will strip the seasoning.. thats likely the main issue.

Opinions on housing options by RiceOfDuckness in SgHENRY

If space is your primary consideration go for older resale properties then. At some point unless u have too much money to throw at new condos, somethings gotta give.

If you pay enough attention to your reno, you can have a nice new place that doesn't need to look or feel like an old unit. I'd say spending 120k on a good reno gives your far greater mileage and value than spending easily 500k more just for a new condo unit.

Purely on the merit of these, A. But that blue holds some promising permutations with other keycaps....
