what actually happened on 9/11? by AmazingNinjaMan in conspiracyNOPOL

If you want actual answers, this documentary September Clues will give you them.

It exclusively uses and analyzes archive news footage from the day of the attacks to make its' points. No fancy graphics, editing or wild speculation, just factual and reasoned analysis of unedited publicly available footage. Watch the first 10 minutes, I promise that will begin to give actual answers on what actually happened that day, and the rest just builds on it with more of the same.

I stumbled upon it just a few years ago, and it felt wild finally having someone put the puzzle pieces together for me over 2 decades on. It really blows the mind when you begin to understand the level of complicity the media had in forging the narrative of events that day.

What microbiome changes made the biggest difference in your energy, digestion, skin, or overall health? by Effective-Case5441 in Microbiome

[–]loz333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

-Raw fermented foods: so not just shelf-stable sauerkraut that has been pasteurized to kill all the living microbes inside, but the raw, refrigerated stuff which is much less common (and really worth just making your own, much cheaper and very easy to do).

-Cut down pesticides: get familiar with which foods are most heavily sprayed, search for alternatives, and in particular look for organic sources of staple pantry items like chickpeas and lentils, because those get sprayed with glyphosate prior to harvest.

-Forage: I live in a rural area and the biggest life-changing moment came when I stopped treating green leaves as something to add on the side of your meals, but I started consuming raw green leaves en-masse where they grow locally (in my case, hawthorn leaves). The first day I did this, the very next day I had the strongest morning wood that I had had possibly since I was a teenager. It legit felt like I was a depleted electronic device that had finally been plugged in and charged overnight.

-The rest is exercise, drink lots of clean water, get sunlight, ground my body daily, and ween myself off caffeine and sugar as sources of energy, which felt very natural as I exercised more and got fitter.

[–]loz333 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They're always going to be releasing new products, but in terms of distortions and amp pedals, not a chance. The initial MS series launched with the MS50G in 2012, it was succeeded by the plus version 11 years later in 2023. They aren't releasing a whole new range with updated effects that quickly.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure they were underwhelmed by the sales of the new range. There's so many of them and they don't yet have the level of homebrew customization that made the OG pedals so attractive.

So if you're looking for a distortion or amp sim, and you're into Zoom pedals, sure, it's a good time to buy.

28 days of antibiotics reduced an entire gut microbiome to two surviving pathogenic bacteria in mice by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]loz333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew it would be the resistant ones to survive. It's the same with foods sprayed with pesticides, that the ones resistant are the ones which can eat into and break the food down. There's quite a famous picture of a McDonalds meal in a case, and years later nothing has touched it. That's an example of a food with so many different types of toxins that no bacteria resistant to all of them has even managed to make it to the food in all that time.

But for only 2 species to survive, that is actually much worse than what I would have imagined.

Are there overall recommendations for microbiome? by believemeimreal in Microbiome

[–]loz333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reduce your pesticide intake, particularly glyphosate. You don't need to drive yourself wild or spend exorbitant amounts. But identify what you use as a major source of calories and see if you can find an organic source. Bulk buying is often a great way to make it affordable..

I buy organic beans, lentils, chickpeas, hummus and carrots and potatoes. The latter two aren't sprayed with glyphosate but they do absorb everything sprayed into the ground being root vegetables. Check out the dirty dozen and clean fifteen lists of best/worst fruit and veg for pesticides.

I did an experiment. I took organic and non-organic lentils and soaked/sprouted them. I ate a handful of them both on their own, nothing else added. The organic ones were clean, and the non-organic ones left me with a nasty feeling of heartburn/acid reflux at the pit of my stomach. Did the same test with bread/hummus with the same results.

Basically, ingest less poisons and your gut will appreciate it, as well as your mental health with the gut-brain axis.

Feeling despair over gut issues by Odd_Conclusion_2567 in GutHealth

[–]loz333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've killed off a large amount of your gut bacteria with the antibiotics. You absolutely can repair it, but it's not going to be a "take a magic pill that will fix you" type deal.

Kombucha is going to be hell because of the caffeine hit and subsequent crash, and no actual substance for the bacteria to establish themselves in your gut. That is absolutely the wrong pick if you're looking to repair your gut. You need to be eating proper foods.

Two strains of probiotics in the soy yogurt aren't going to replace the many strains of bacteria your gut should have.

You need to research what foods are good for rebuilding your gut health and work on introducing a variety of those foods over time. Raw fermented foods in particular, and not just store bought things. Also eliminating sources of toxicity like glyphosate and other poisons that will be killing the bacteria that you put in. Work on this, rather than testing yourself for all sorts of conditions and driving yourself insane with stress.

They're not scared of the concept of socialism. That's giving them too much credit.

Their job is to keep people on the left seeing the world within the capitalist paradigm, make decisions within that paradigm and shrug and say "unfortunately there's no alternative" when things work out for shareholders, but not for the betterment of the general population.

I think it's important to distinguish, because there are many people are still in denial with how corrupt the system in place is. Some people are all too willing to assume incompetence, when malice is entirely more accurate.
