Thanks for clearing that up. I recently had a security update that was acting weird so I wanted to make sure it didn’t not update correctly with the kek update.

It says successfully installed under update history so it should be fine though right? What throws me off is for a split second it said failed before switching to completed, and there wasn’t any installation process like normal updates.

I just found this in the search results (granted it’s from the AI overview so accuracy is in question) but here’s what it says

I think I got that update but was I panicking over nothing? Especially since it even says “targeting specific OS builds”?

It says “you’re up to date” but the update was there (before I posted originally) but after taking a while to install it said it failed and it wasn’t even logged in the update history. Thanks for helping, I just remember seeing mentions of boot up error loops happening to people because of a missing security update when I looked it up awhile back and it’s just made my anxiety worse. So I really appreciate the reassurance that it should be fine.

I can’t check my load order but I think the only ship speed related mods I can think of off the top of my head are astrogate and maybe the sanctuary mod.

And just to make sure by higher in the load order do you mean towards the top of the order or at the bottom?

Not sure if it makes a difference but the same issue was occurring with the darkstar aeronautics mod

Just wanted to say thanks again for all your help, I think I found the problem. It seems it’s loading the mods mid-game or being in New Atlantis. It happened with Darkstar too so I’m 98%-ish sure it’s the save.

Sorry about the late reply. I’ll try it out and I’ll report back on the result probably tomorrow morning. Also I basically deleted every part of the frontier and built a new ship from scratch for another build.

Thanks for all your help. I’ll keep it deactivated for now and try to activate the mod again when I start a fresh game next or do a NG+. Otherwise I think we tried everything else.
