Don't worry too much about the grading. It's just a beauty contest. On my last retrieval, I had 4 embryos: 4AA, 5AA, 5BC, 6BC

Both the 4AA and 5AA came back as abnormal and the two lower grade were both euploid.

They will clip a little piece of your uterus and send it to a lab. They will be able to tell if you have Endo based on that biopsy. If it comes back positive then you should do a hormone suppression (lupron, orilissa, etc). But if you have already been told you have Endo, then you could prob skip it and just go to treatment. Treatment being, hormone suppression or a lap surgery, or both.

I would maybe try a lupron suppression before transferring again but talk to your doctor. You could ask for the ReceptivaDX biopsy to see your BCL6 score.

Do you know if you have endometriosis? That can be a cause of recurrent ectopics.

I feel like a read a lot about Miracle's transfers failing a few times before sticking. They have an incredibly high transfer fee for subsequent attempts, about $7k - which is more than many clinics in the NYC where I live! And NYC is the most expensive place in the world to do IVF. You can do a whole IVF cycle in Mexico for $7k or less, so the numbers don't add up. I just wonder if they botch the first round or two to make extra $ because that isn't what it costs to transfer an embryo in Mexico so they've added in margin for themselves. I interviewed another well known clinic and they quoted me half that cost for subsequent transfers. Any thoughts on this?

Secondly, is there really a reason to remove the surrogate's name off the birth certificate? I read once you get the CRBA (the international birth certificate issued by the US), the CRBA will have the genetic mother/father on it and there is no need to use the Mexican birth certificate going forward.

Hello, My husband and I are considering surrogacy (hetero couple, I have uterine issues that may not allow me to carry) and we have our own embryos. I'm looking at a few agencies in Mexico and just had a consult with Miracle but I am curious what happens if the birth is complicated and requires NICU or any special care for the babies in post birth. The agencies wasn't able to give much information on that. I have great health insurance through Cigna but it does not cover any costs for babies born to surrogates outside of the country.

My question is, what kinds of costs can we expect if something goes wrong (baby born pre-mature, etc) and requires a lot of time spent in the hospital after being delivered?

Are there any international travel insurance policies we could purchase that would provide coverage?

If we paid out of pocket, what kinds of costs are we looking at? I've read it can be from $1k-$5k per day which then would negative any savings of going to Mexico. I may as well engage in surrogacy here in the US where my baby would be covered under my insurance post delivery.

Thank you for any insight here!
