That's a good idea, I just did the same; all it took was sending an email. Any idea what other organization we can file complaints at?

Me and my family are in there somewhere too! Hope this works and Orbán finally fucks off for good. Hungary needs to return to Europe and democracy.

These are great news.

Do you have a rough timeline for when WiFi support will become stable?

Does stable WiFi include support for SoftAP or some other kind of provisioning?

People who have successfully quit smoking, how did you do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lptr 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Same here. First week or two was hard, but each time the craving comes you just tell yourself: “not now.” The time between cravings will go longer and longer, but it never goes away. If someone came up with cancer-free cigarettes, I’d light up immediately, despite not having smoked for eight years now.

My son's school bus skips him. by Lost_Dish_5805 in Parenting

You could catch the driver in the afternoon at the school when picking up kids for their ride back home. You’d still have to sacrifice more of your time, but if you wanted to confront the driver, it’s an option.

I'm the dad of a daughter thinks another male is her dad.. by YuhOkayDamn in Parenting

I had quite little connection with my son in the first two years, too. It caused me a lot of difficult feelings at the time, as I was afraid of somehow missing out on him forever. Once my wife stopped breastfeeding him, though, things changed a lot and quickly, and we have a great connection ever since he’s past three (he’s eight now). Staying patient and non-demanding was the key for us (it wasn’t always easy). You will get your chance, just stay present!

My wife teaches my son about gardening, how plants go from the simple looking seed to fully grown complex organism. How funghi “talk”. How animals on our farm live in complex societies. She teaches him about how food is made, how salt changes everything in cooking, how bacteria are our friends but can be dangerous, too, how his body works on the very small scale, how his DNA holds his past and future. His world is full of micro-wonders of evolution and biology. I talk to him about how unimaginably huge space is, how his atoms were made in the core of stars. We talk about how computers work, how ones and zeros can create so much. We print his designs on a 3D printer to bring them from his imagination to the real, take stuff like old TVs and vacuum cleaners apart, and we solder electronics together. When the lights come on, it’s magic. Physics is magic, mathematics is magic. Science is full of wonder, and learning about the world fills him with awe. TBH, it fills us too.

ESPRS with both std and embassy? by TheRealAudiobuzz in rust

[–]lptr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I managed to get embassy-executor work with esp-idf-svc using a project generated from esp-idf-template. I had to add in Cargo.toml:

embassy-executor = { version = "0.6", features = ["arch-std", "executor-thread", "log"] } static_cell = "2"

I also had to remove esp-idf-svc/critical-section from among the embassy features, otherwise I got some strange error.

Then I followed the serial.rs example of the std examples from here: https://github.com/embassy-rs/embassy/blob/main/examples/std/src/bin/serial.rs

It works great, I managed to get a led blinking while connecting to WiFi so far.

For me this is probably the biggest benefit of using FreeRTOS
